This is the way to go. So what if it doesn’t have the hybrid motor, even better, that’s what drives me away from it. Is this a manual?

just a couple of things tbh
i dont get how this is backhanded... the op stated i dont get the hate towards the 4th gen he congratulated him and stated why he disliked it and wished him luck with his truck... i swear you 4th gen owners seem rather sensitive....

You don’t need to get it.

I guess reading comprehension isn’t your forte. Or you must’ve missed all the times he has done it before. :boink:

oooh i can comprehend it but i also see you being a bit of crybaby over someone being bored and posting saying congrats but also stating his own thoughts on the truck which in this thread the op even stated i dont get it and he put his thoughts on why. its also funny you went and found each post of his to just show it lmao

    All good!

Fit and finish seem great imo

Here is what I said about it in another thread:

I had a ‘21 TRD OR and my new truck is leaps ahead and zero post buyers remorse after 1600 miles.

Engine actually makes low end power so you don’t need to ring it out at all. Rarely get over 3500rpm

Shifts are very very smooth. Instead of downshifting, it’ll spool up a bit and get you going. A steep hill I commute on would normally need 4th gear, sometimes even 3rd. This truck can do it in 8th gear without downshifting.

Around 20/21mpg with 33s. In a hilly region.

Seating position is way better and more comfortable.

Things I’m not crazy about are the 18 gallon tank and the turning radius. But both are livable.

    Along those same lines....
I've also noticed several new 4th gen (Tacoma) owners say what a hunk of crap the 3rd gen is, yet many of them were just as stupid as I am and owned one. Some owned multiple 3rd gens.
    Same difference.

Some of you may have been on this forum long enough. Did people dislike 3rd gens when they came out also? Obviously the 2nd to 3rd gen jump was much smaller of a change but I’m sure people complained nonetheless.

The 3rd gen was the most complained about generation of tacoma out of all of them. People did nothing but complain about all its quirks(me included) it’s absolute horrible drivetrain combo, loads of common issues that could potentially cost a fortune to fix. Now that the 4th gen’s are out those very same people who did nothing but complain over the years have now labeled the turd gen as the best truck Toyota ever made even though on the 4th gen Toyota fixed virtually every problem or annoyance those people complained about.

Having owned all 3 gens I think they all had improvements overall . Of course if you picked they all had faults . Anyway the 4 Gen seems to be a nice upgrade and is a very good looking truck in my opinion. It seems out of the gate overall to be pretty decent

Facts!! and more of a reason to ignore all the haters. I've been here since 2015 reading the same bitching "oh the new generation is garbage".... did I mention that you can click on someone's name here and select ignore... they go away like magic....

I’ve been here since 2016 or early 2017 o forget lol so I was here at the start of the 3rd gen I’ve read thousands of complaints and issues with those trucks and expierenced many of them myself. I could never drive a 3rd gen again after owning the 4th gen. Not to say the 4th gen isn’t gonna have to have kinks worked out but the engineering of it is leaps and bounds ahead into the modern era

Another point to ignore certain people is to remember there are a lot of people here that know absolutely nothing about how a truck in general really drives in real world . Some people seem to think they are driving a 150 k sports car when they judge the truck . Which is kind of funny . My 19 is used to do truck things and daily driving things . No complaints here . I do like the new 24 for sure , but being paid off and college stuff , just not a good time right now to spend more cash.

I am a 3rd gen owner and while I have some issues with Toyota about raising the price, I like most of the trucks (though the new pro is not for me- really overpriced with black roof that will cook it’s occupants in hot summer climates)
