My stock head unit recently stopped playing any audio and was having issues powering on. Just replaced it with the Sony XAV - AX6000 from Trail Grid Pro. Took me less than 30 min to install. Wow, I didn’t think it would make a difference with the sound quality but man it’s much better. Plus the Apple car play is awesome. Can’t recommend enough.

I have a 2018. I like the look too. Could’ve gotten a bigger screen but the flush look was too good.

All of the features still work as normal? Such as all of the radio functions, Sirius XM, backup camera, mic, etc?

There was an option to keep Sirius XM functionality but I never use it so I opted out. Everything else still works great, only thing is I had to replace the mic because the standard mic won’t work with the head unit. If you replace your head unit I believe you will need a mic replacement most of the time.

That looks fantastic. I've been thinking about replacing the head-unit to gain CarPlay/Android Auto, but have a front-view camera I installed on the OEM head Curious if this would still work with it. I may need research that more!

Excellent choice. I went with the same model. So much better. Then it was even better when I replaced the rest of the system.

I have a 2016 taco with navigation which I use often (because cellphone fails). Can I install the Entune 3.0 with navigation on my Taco?

This unit has an option to display a front facing camera I believe. When I select the option it shows as a black screen bc I don’t have one lol.

Garmin GPS with lifetime maps and traffic is probably a better choice

OE NAV you have to pay for map updates. If they work.

I also have this Sony head unit installed on my Tacoma, it works great on my 2017. I wanted the smaller screen. If you want multiple cameras or a larger screen Trail Grid Pro offers other turnkey options with a few brand choices. This is one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my Tacoma.
