    i get 20 mpg on my 09 v6 dbl cab. gettn 15 to17 out of my 01 2.7 reg cab. ive been trying to squeeze more out of the 2.7 with not much luck.

    thats what i want, but price wise im leaning towards the sr5 2.7 access cab. seems like its the best bang for buck

    Better gas mileage too. This thing (my V6) drinks gas like I drink beer.

    That too. But man, I have such a complex problem with what truck im buying its insane. I just dont know what to do work/truck/motor wise and its alllllllll stressfull

    Yikes! That does seem underpowered for modern I4 especially since 2.7 ain't exactly tiny. Torque?
    My 3.4 is doggy at 190ish, and still gets 20-21 with light wheels, tires and right foot.

    thats good.
    probably the best application for the I4 is 2wd reg cab with light aluminum wheels and minimal hauling and towing duties.

    Ya, my mom's is V8 AWD and she gets 15-16 in town and 19-20 highway, but she lives at 3000ft of elevation too.

    No, he was dead serious. His tranny shifts hard, not smooth at all, and he has a 2WD my mom’s is AWD and they get the same mpg. He’s also had to have at least 3 times as many repairs on his truck then my mom has had, and he treats it like his baby. I’m not trying say that they are bad trucks. Just sharing my experiences with them.

    So after LOVING the V6 double cab, I think Im still gonna stick with the access I4. Drove the AUTO and standard today, like em both. Just gonna take the double cab out ONE more time tomorrow and then make my final choice lol
