I finally took delivery yesterday. I dropped it off at the leather shop (Classic Soft Trim) and picked it up this morning. They're going to leather up the center console top for me later for minimal extra cost. It's got a gray contrast stitch, you'll notice.

Love the truck. It's my first new vehicle, and I'm proud it's a Tacoma. I'm still keeping my Galant (seen in the background of sideview shot) for work, but the Taco's my backup for wet weather (when my Galant's A/C kicks out) or long-distance trips.

There's no tint currently on the truck, and I'm amazed how quiet and cool it is within the stock smoked glass.

Brandon's Avid Off-Road Light Bar came in by FedEx today. I bought one when he was having an $80 off sale for the 1st three people to respond a few weeks ago. It was the lowest price he's offered them. I'm going to paint it with some Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating from Auto Zone.

Not sure about posting pics...let's see...

Thanks, guys. I'm lovin the truck. Took it out to Auto Zone last night for some Rustoleum spray for my Avid Off-Road bar, and the lights work pretty darn well compared to my stock Mitsubishi Galant's. I put better light bulbs in the Galant, but I'm not sure I'll have to do it for the Tacoma. Helps being higher off the road.

Nice! Very nice! So I have to ask since nobody else has yet. What did it cost you for the leather. You can PM me if you'd rather not post the answer on the forum.

The regular price for the leather is about $1400. But I got a significant discount (about 1/3) because of a "special program"/work-related position (non-Toyota).

    still saving... :(

Be careful with getting different bulbs. I've seen people come to the dealership that put some of them blue one in that had a way higher amp draw than the stock ones and melted the plug for the head lights. Not just a tacoma thing, that could happen to any car. The majority of people seem to get away with it I was just gonna throw a little warning out there. Very nice looking truck by the way. I've almost got my money to order mine. Will also be my first new vehicle.

I'd just use the Sylvania or Philips (?) bulbs you can find in the auto parts stores. I'm not really into the blue--just white.

I'd recommend the Sylvania Silverstars. They're a good bit brighter than the stockers, without looking blue or yellow at all.

And sweet truck man! I really dig that leather interior. Although leather around where I'm at is a death sentence in the summer...

Yeah, the Silverstars are what I have in the Galant. I just went to the Sylvania site and it shows an HID light bulb...I'll have to read more about that. Might need an HID assembly.

Drove around 50 miles tonight around town, highways. I've now got about 100 miles on the truck. There's just no comparison between my old Galant and the Taco. So much torque and heaviness, it's not even funny. I jumped a couple curbs tonight to get from the highway to the access road, avoiding a construction backup. It was nice to have the clearance in the Taco.

I'm going to definitely get some new, brighter bulbs for both the regular lamps and fogs. The standard throw distance is good, but new bulbs should make a definite difference.
