I’m on the list for Oahu but my sales person said there wasn’t a lot of demand for the trailhunters. More for the trd pro. I usually buy from oahu and ship over. We’ll see.

Just got off the phone with a dealer. Toyotas in my area were held for QH in Kansas City for over a month and half. Now being released. Here comes the flood!

 

Got off the phone with my sales rep this morning and just put my deposit down. They are not here yet.

 

I have a stockpile of mods ready to be installed.

 

When you get the Trailhunter, are you going drive it up Mauna Kea, or down Waipio Valley? Very expensive “highway princes!” Only “pretty expensive!”

When you buy from Oahu and ship over, what about warranty, or other issues? Big Island Toyota Service Department gave you BS?
Now probraly different, Servco bought out Big Island Toyota from Deluz family.

 

lol. My trucks are for the trail like my 2017 off road mt. Not like the ones with 22 inch wheels and tiny tires that don’t see the lava rock.

Congratulations. You buy extended warranty? Servco Pacific bought out Big Island Toyota, not suppose to get BS, if warranty, or service crap.

 

Yeah. But I never had issues from them with my 2017 Tacoma. Also know a couples people in the service department. I heard they bought them but the process is still going so servco doesn’t have control yet over big island Toyota. That’s what my sales rep said. ‍♂️

 

I heard around September of this month, Servco Pacific will take control. But whoever controls it, better to do your own engine oil and filter at 3,000- 5,000 miles, and not that Toyota BS crap at 10,000 miles. Engine oil is cheap, engine not.

 

I hear you man. I agree. I do my own oil changes. My biggest change to get use to is driving and automatic. Been driving a manual for last 30 yrs. But hey. Things change. Not only driving an automatic trans but a hybrid now. lol. Should be interesting

 

My work truck is stock, 3rd Gen 4 cylinder auto, double cab 2wd. It is better than walking.

I bought my 2008 Tacoma from Servco, Honolulu and shipped it home to Maui on the Superferry.
It was a wonderful experience.

On my location, people who ordered Trailhunter at my local Toyota dealer never got them yet. The production for Trailhunters of people who ordered was pushed back, for some BS reason.

 

Which location? I just flew to oahu past Thursday and paid for mine. Now waiting for them to ship. Ship date is 9/20. Young’s bros is backed up due to that last storm that went through. I think all the others I seen on the lot - as well as the Pros are pre sold already. Salesperson said he doesn’t think outer islands are getting any allocation. He could be wrong

 

I saw 2 white, 1 bronze long bed I believe, 3 underground (counting mine) and a silver. Might have been more. Saw 2 trd pros. And about 5-6 land cruisers on the lot
