    Just upgraded from my 05 Access Cab 4cyl. 4x2 MT (Which I bought new in 05 and put 130k mi. on) to an 08 Access Cab V6 SR5 4x4 AT w/65k mi. on it

    Joined the site because I'm excited to slowly build up my new Taco and hoping get suggestions on what mods to make first, and learn from other people's experience.

    congrats, I would start with the basics, brakes, tires, wheels, and suspension... I went from a 94 toy pickup, R22RE, five lug, standard cab to a '11 AC with V6, 4x4 and 6 speed. You will enjoy.

    Now I am running 265/70R17 studded snow for winter on 17" sport rims, Billies at 1.75" front and four leaf packs on rear with rancho shocks, wagner severe duty brakes, and various bed mounts for a high lift jack and corner bed reinforcements to haul motorcycles.

    Get that lady off the ground then. Lift, Rims and tires (damn the list could go on forever).. Really just depends on how fat your wallet is and how you want it to look at the end of the day. Mine had 10 miles on when the lift went on and 56 miles when the rims and tires went on.

    Congrats! I'd say my Weathertech digi floor mats are my favorite mod. Do a lot of research before you get a lift. Some people have problems after lifting.

    I'd clean and fluid film the frame since you are in a snow/salt area.

    Trust me I've thought about it....any issues putting a SC on an engine with 65k mi.?

    Hopefully someone with a 4.0 can chip in. If I still had my truck, I wouldn't have hesitated for a second and my 2.7 was around 85k miles.
