Man, exams can go suck one. I'm so glad mine are over even though I probably failed all of them

I intentionally failed a class this semester to avoid a drop in GPA. Take that class again next spring with easy teacher and use one of my grade exclusions

Thanks everyone! I hope there is a curve...or she will be nice and throw on a couple of points for me.

How does that work? At our school if we get F's...we get F's and our GPA dropped. I know this because I failed calculus, which was required for engineering, but now that I'm not in engineering anymore it still haunts me even though it's not needed for my major. Which I think is dumb. :( We get "repeat deletes" to retake the class and replace the grade, but for only like 9 credit hours...which is only like 3 classes. No way I can even use mine anyway since I can never pass the class in the first place.

Yeah basically like that. I failed an anatomy class so I could retake it so my gpa took a dump for a semester. I retook it and still got a B  but even though there is an F on my transcripts my gpa does not reflect it :D

The average class here is 3 units and we can do this for 16 total units intentional or not intentional.

But here, you have to make sure it looks like it was non-intentional or it could turn into a W (or WU forget what it is called), which is an "intentional fail" and that shows on your transcripts and is BAD for that to happen

This sucks, I took a basic computer science class just for a GE and it started off real easy until my professor fell off a ladder and broke his back a few weeks into the semester and we got a a sub for the rest of the semester. She had no clue how to teach the class and relied on the TA that hardly ever showed up. I though it would be an easy A, but right now it shows I have a 68% after failing the final but hopefully the two assignments that haven't been graded will bump my grade up to at least a C.

I am not opposed to contesting a grade and I think you should. Sometimes I feel as if I should ditch this physical therapy stuff and go into law because I love proving a point :)

How did I miss this thread???It was Finals week here at Georgia Tech. The week prior is Dead Week, such a flattering name. I had physics, linear algebra, and computer science this week and man did it suck, so glad to be done. Now, I'm just waiting for the grades to start rolling in.

Sucky! I've been done for a while.

OMG I FREAKING PASSED EQUINE REPRODUCTION! Well, with a C but it still counts :D Now I get to take the foaling class next semester and foal out some mares and see some cute foals <3

But I didn't pass genetics :( Stupid final exam screwed me over. x.x BUT I might be ok. It's not an "equine" class and we are required to get at least a C in every equine class. And my prerequisites for equine genetics say you need a D and above...so...I might be able to go with my D. I hope...as long as my adviser is correct...which sometimes I'm not too sure about.

    Everything else I passed!

I passed everything except for that calc 3 class I intentionally failed.

And to whoever asked how that works. The University gives us 2 classes in our undergrad that are c- or lower that we can exclude from our GPA, however we must take the class again. So I'm taking calc 3 again next semester with a different, extremely easy teacher who I should have taken last semester lol.
