Finaly got my head gasket replaced

09 base extra cab 207k 2wd auto 2.7 : I unwillingngly took a visit to Mechanics rape room recently for a torn head gasket. 22hours worth of labor later and its actually running a lil pepier than before, it starts easier and has little more pep at take off I guess I was loosing compresion on whatever piston was comprimised. (Picture is where they had just sat the head back on...The front office guy went and sent me a picture to see the progress. it took days longer than what was discussed but thats another conversation) Been running good for 10 days now no more service lights on.. Man I hope she acts rite at least 150k more without opening the motor or tranny.. I believe given their rep is reasonable. Btw ( off the subject. ) its been too long since I visit regularly can someone tell me how to access my previous thread... I use to be able to i just forgot...lol

 

22hrs labor? Damn, I can only imagine the girth of that bill....but you did say rape room. Hope you at least got dinner and a reach-around!
