Thank you yeah I definitely think we lucked out. My daughter would say it was meant to be. Yeah I'll share, maybe it will help others who are shopping at this time. I got the truck for 21,900. Based on my research (KBB, Cargurus and some other sites) and this dynamic used market I think fair market value is right around 21-22-23K here in New England so we're right there. Would it have been a bit less 6 months ago? I think yes. But I think the market has moved maybe 10%. If you factor in the extras, especially the Prinso rack and wheels, I think we did well as those extras did not seem to factor into the price. And then the fact that the truck was delivered in California and was there from 2014-2018 with no northeast winters. That is almost priceless! The SnugTop was $800, which was a steal. They are over 2K new and it was in mint condition.

    Stock for now.. maybe

U don't know, I think you did pretty good even in this market. One year ago I paid a bit more than you for a 2015 with 70k miles.. maybe 2k more. And yes, the SnugTop was definitely a steal.

It was ment to be I guess. Your daughter should be happy for years to come. Its also nice that she will be studying/working and being productive in sustainability and environmental research

2015’s have the least amount of manufacturers issues / customer complaints out of any Tacoma produced from 2005-2020. we’re golden bro

Which is why I keep on keeping mine even though I hardly ever drive it and am seriously thinking about selling a couple vehicles [including the taco] and buying a 4 runner or LC which would be more useful to me and cut down on a vehicle. I have a whole 2985 miles on a 15'' TRDORDC. [but I still did the drain/fill coolant because 5 years]

Ha! Thanks man. So this is the part where you bite your tongue a little as a dad. If you are able, you try to set up your kids with a cool vehicle. Hey, all my dad could do back in the day was to give me the old family station wagon. So I'm already ahead of the game. Anyway, there is that point when you have to let them apply their own style to the vehicle. Actually the first thing I was going to do when we got the truck home was to yank that bull bar. But she likes it. So I said "let's leave it alone for awhile, it's only on there with 4-6 bolts so it's easy to yank it if you change your mind."

    Haha fair enough.
I was given an 88’ Ford bronco 2 around 04’ as my first vehicle. Tranny blew within a week... thanks dad :anonymous:

A trans cooler is nothing to install. I did one on my van for under $100 and a few hours labor.

Nice truck. I've been working on a cargo trailer conversion too. Although mine is a bit bigger at 7x18x7. I tow with a 3/4ton chevy gas truck though. I have a 2013 Tacoma and I would not have a chance of towing it here in Colorado.

Keep it light. There are some decent trailer conversion groups on facebook, also check out TNTTT for more of a forum based although not as popular.

I don't drive it in the winter and in the summer, well, I have way more fun vehicles to drive then a truck the vast majority of the time, especially on the back roads.

If I keep it, I'll see use down the road at silver lake IF I don't buy something dedicated to sand.
