    Hello fellow Tacoma lovers,

I'm new to the forum and can't tell you how excited I was to find it. After doing a general google search for stolen tailgate doors I found a thread on this forum with a number of helpful tips to prevent theft. Who knew a hose clamp would do the trick. Really wish I would have known about that before my dad's tailgate was stolen.

My dad's Tailgate door was stolen back in 2014 a few weeks after he bought it right outside our home. We were all in shock but after a quick google search found that this was a common occurrence. To add insult to injury he's been hit at the grocery store twice.

It's been nearly five years since it got stollen and I would love to surprise him with a replacement door and a tailgate cover for his birthday. Does anyone have any tips on how to go about finding replacement tailgate doors and tailgate covers? I saw that I can buy the door on carparts.com and CARiD.com but it seems I can only buy the door and would need to buy the hardware for the door separately. I'm a little confused so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance!
