Could a TSB pack brought to a spring shop work? I could ask them to arch it to achieve some lift and well as add some full length leafs? My only concern is them not getting it right.

Yes that is exactly what I am doing next week. Throwing the canopy back on for weight. 5100's, ome 885 up front. The springshop take the main leaf from each pack, compensate for the weight and build new packs. Probably ride stiff without the canopy. But was told to keep it on so they can build the pack to take the extra weight. From my initial enquiries each pack will contain five leafs.
I am expecting the rear to sit a little higher than the front due to it
    We'll see how it goes

I have dealt with them in the past and they do good work.
This time I am going with Westshore Spring and 4x4. Closer to home.

    fuck you very much :)

    Go Flyers!!!!
    Go Craps!!!!

No clue. I have kings up front...never looked into their rear set ups. IMO they are costly for my driving habits so my rear will stay Bilstein unless I walk into a great deal.

    RyanPont,

I did not see where anyone answered your questions about a spring shop. A shop can build anything you want and have it done in a matter of hours, probably under 2 hours if you have discussed with them what you want before hand. They can make anything Dakar, Alcan and Floyds barber shop and leaf spring can make, align it, install it and have you on your way quickly. You have only to tell them what you want in the way of lift (if any), load carrying. Springs and suspension is their business. They might even have a decal.

If you have the time, the tools and the place, you can do as 4WD recommends and rebuild your own leaf packs and have a superior suspension for not a lot of money. But, no decal.

If you guys are talking about stock leafs, forget about it & save your money. Toyota's choice of steel is the problem, year after year after year, If you do it I'll betcha anything their flat within 3 months...

    4WD,

Doug, if I am not mistaken, both 06tacomkev and RyanPont are asking their spring shops to follow your lead by keeping only the top leaf and having new leaves added to make a new pack. Similar to your way, only using new spring shop springs instead of Ford or Chevy springs. Not just adding good leaves to a pile of shit. Or that is how I understood them. Almost as good as OMD springs.

He said something about taking TSB & re arcing, which will still be a waste of money seeing how he can just back'em up with some better springs

If I was not clear that is what the spring shop has suggested. Reusing only the top leaf and building the pack from there.
They said I am looking at roughly a five leaf pack, but it could be more depending on what I want to do
I am trying to balance a flexy rear end and a canopy and maintain a decent height

    Well they look solid enough
But yeah, I was going to say that I do not have the TSB upgrade either.
Is there anything I should ask for buildwise when I talk to the shop 4WD?
I am looking for flex and the ability to take a canopy six months a year without considerable sag
