I don't understand how some of you guys are saying you got your trucks for "$500" or "$1000" below invoice. That is saying the dealership sold you a truck and lost money in the process. If they did in fact sell a vehicle "below invoice" then they made it up elsewhere in fees. It is just frustrating hearing these claims

I never done it before. Do you have to do the same thing like filling out the forms?
why can't they just take it off right there at the dealer? thanks!

Actually it's not. The actual net cost to dealer is a nebulous amount which takes into account "hold-backs" they get in a periodic lump sum.

You're right, they stick all kinds of meaningless fees on too. My sticker has $1400 of meaningless acronyms, and includes 4 gallons of fuel...

This is a real good point...you can talk Invoice/MSRP, whats included and whats not...but the real bottom line is the OTD(out the door) price. This needs to be ALL inclusive. I've seen dealers say they would sell at invoice or near and then charge you $200.00 for tax/title and/or $200+ for a dealer prep fee,etc...

It does...No forms to fill out...comes off the negotiated price at the dealership.
