My truck got hail damaged over the weekend. Nothing major. I have about 11 dings and dents and working on getting it fixed.

I have no idea what the estimate will be for that, and how much of an A-hole insurance will be.

Hoping it will be smooth. Never had to get hail damage fixed before.

I've never had hail damage either.

Was in a hail storm a few months ago in my Tundra for about 8-10 minutes solid thinking the worst. Couldn't find a single dent when I got home.

Don't worry too much. Should be able to get all the dents out using paintless dent removal (like dent wizzard).

I live in a hail alley in Canada. We have lots of shops here that specialize in removing most hail damage, if not severe, using a method called paintless dent removal. It basically uses heat to remove the dents. Some shops are better than others so get referrals. Don't know if they have those near where you live. Good luck.

I would get several quotes on how much it will cost to fix.

My 2nd gen got hit with $9,000 worth of hail damage one time. I waited 6 months for the hail repair shops to get through the storms work load and then took it to a shop, offered cash, they let the new guy practice on it and fixed anything he didn't do great on, which meant I walked out paying $1,500 for the complete repair and pocketed the other $7,500.

That said, 11 dents/dings should only be a few hundred bucks out of pocket if it's not a greedy place, might not be worth the claim.

I can almost guarantee that there's more than 11 though, wait until they put a light on it and it shows the hundreds of little ones you can't see.

Don't sweat it, PDR can be amazing. I had 9k worth of hail damage 7 or 8 years ago. Took a week for 3 technicians, 40 hours each, to work their magic.
