Well after way to long of a wait i finally got my 265/70/17 grabber at2's wrapped around my TRD sport wheels. What a huge difference! Looks like a completely different truck. The pictures dont really do it justice, but in person its just wow. Im so pumped, have fallen in love with my truck all over again. Still cant believe I own my dream tacoma. Its nothing compared to half the trucks on here but maybe some day. A little at a time. I think I may have lucked out somehow though. I just had 16" steelies before, so when I swapped i was certain i would have to deal with the light on the dash. Not the case!!! I dont know how or why, but I dont have the tpms light on. I know its not just burnt out because it comes on at the initial start or the truck but then goes off. SHIBBY!

The other wheels make a Tacoma look like a low-budget work truck, IMHO...

The tires drive great for being a fairly aggressive all terrain. Not that noisy, only a slight hum but nothing annoying. Ive only had them on since friday and have just drove to work and back (about 40 miles total). Have absolutely no complaints so far. Steering wheel doesn't shake around or anything, truck doesn't really feel any different driving wise with these tires. i love em.

The General Grabbers are a pretty highly rated tire. Most reviews place them above the BFG A/T. Hit some trails and let us know how they do off-road!

Thanks guys. Yea I'm hoping I can hit some trails next weekend. I'll let ya know how they are off road. These trucks should come like this from the factory. So much better. With the stock wheels and tires I didn't even think it looked like a 4x4 truck. Fixed that problem, much better stance.

So anyone know how come I don't have the tpms light on? Not that I'm complaining at all. I'm just curious because I had 16 inch wheels before and now I got 17. I didn't do any reset or anything. And the spare is still there as well which is different than the other 4 wheels on my truck.

My 2011 SR5 had steelies and 245"s. I was lucky to find four 2011 sport takeoffs with 17" sport wheels and 265 Bridgestones. However, the original sport wheel owner kept his wheel sensors so I had to install new ones (the steelie sensors are different than the alloys anyways). The light came on after 50 miles and I had to go to the Toyota dealer with the sensor serial numbers for them to reset the TPMS system. It cost $50.00 so I was happy to get the light to turn off. Love the new looks also--check it out:

Nice! Looks great. Yea the guy that I got the wheels from left the sensors on so I just had to mount the tires and throw them on the truck. Yea I have driven like 80 to 100 miles with them and still no light. Hey, works for me. Just cant figure out how I got lucky to have the light not come on.

    Looks good.

Are your steelies with original tires still installed stored near where you park?

so far the mileage has stayed the same. And as for the old wheels near me, they are not. they are about a half hour away from where i park.

Ah, ok. I asked because if you park near them every night at home, for example, the truck will "sense" them and the light won't come on. I know you can drive a few miles before it comes on but not sure how many.

Regardless, looks like it worked out for you anyway so that's good.
