Forum: I would like to mount a Fire Extinguisher in my 07 taco Prerunner extended cab. Any suggestions for something out of the way?
    Some pics would be nice.

    TIA

Me personally, I'm torn between using quick fist mount to the center console on the passenger side at an angle or standing it straight up behind the center console in the back seat.

Edit: I want it to be reachable from the drivers seat, it just depends on leg room. Im leaning towards mounting it to the console in the back seat.

In my old access cab I mounted to to the driver rear door, I tried it behind the center console for a week or so taped in place but I kept hitting it and didnt like it there. I figured that the fire was more likely gonna be in the engine so an extra second to open the rear suicide door and grab it was fine.
I bought a metal holder with a rubber band strap part and took the door panel off, drilled the holes where I wanted and put bolts/nuts with washers on the inside the door panel.

I just stuck mine in the compartment under the rear seat, driver's side. It only takes a couple of seconds to pop the seat up and open that cheap plastic door. I've got a second one in the back.

Mine is right in front of the driver seat. Seat still has full range of motion. When I’m driving the seat is all the way back and it never interferes with my legs. Can remove it while I’m sitting just fine. Write up on install in my build thread here.

Same bracket setup I have, and would recommend it.

The same shit everyone else has.
Just installed one in my truck this weekend.

DIY bracket. It’s an access cab with no rear seats and the front seats never move so I wasn’t 100% concerned with not being able to slide the seat up the whole way.
