Yeah, dont get me wrong, states rights are still important, but at the same time it would be nice to have reprocity of CCW permits so you dont need to get multiples to cover the country, its a real pain to travel when you have a CCW

I think it would be much better if we didn't need permission from any state or the Feds to CCW. Reciprocity issue would be solved.

Should apply the same to gasoline. But each state considers itself "unique" and mandates whatever mixes their 'experts' deem necessary for our own good.
Yeah, there are subtle differences but not enough to make a wholesale change over. Sure would ease the pricing disparities.

A while back I picked up a Mossberg 500 "Turkey Thugs" edition. I have since modded it with an 18" barrel, 5+1 mag, pistol grip and stock, and heat shield. However, on the side next to the ejection port it says in a goldish color "Turkey Thugs." Anyone know of way to remove the lettering without scratching the housing? Just thought I'd ask in here before I try anything and end up scratching it all up.

    1. Use table salt and a slightly dampened rag. Use the rag to grind the salt in, sort of like sand paper, but less abrasive. Woe it clean with a fresh rag or rinse well the one you have been using, and oil the gun. Salt water plus metal means rust.
    2. Get a dremmel with the cotton like pad and try buffing it off.
    3. Get advice from somebody who knows what they are doing.

    BFH works for everything.

On a real note though, try brake cleaner or acetone though it may take off the camouflage if you have any.

Try to acetone or brake clean on a small inconspicuous spot first to see if it will mess up your finish before trying

This is a good point. What will you get the best use out of?

Before being completely sold on the MP40, check out Walther PPQ 40. It also has a 5" barrel available. I have the MP9 with 4.25" barrel, and PPQ 40 with 4" barrel, and the grip on the PPQ feels more natural to me. While S&W is a great name, Walther is just as high on quality.

I also need sliders for my truck, so the need for that is understandable.
