I just picked up a Stevens Model 301 .410. For under $200, it’s a great little critter getter. It has some really nice features for an inexpensive little gun. Would be great for a young hunter...

It looks like 3/4-24 to me. 12 threads over a half inch.

Do you have any recommendations for muzzle devices in that size?

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
My little sister had a Rossi kinda like that you could swap the barrels and she had a .410 and .22 they still make them and I think you can go all the way up to a 30-06 but I wouldn't wanna try and hang on to a 5 lb single shot 06 lol but a .243 or 7 08 would be a great growing up gun

None that I have experience with, sorry. I've just been looking at 12.7x42 or 50 baeuwolf muzzle brakes and they all look similar.

Yeah, my Sako Carbonlight 85 is the lightest gun I’ve ever used (.308). It’s great....

Is anybody located in Fayetteville? I have been looking for a couple AAC 51T flash hiders and can’t find any of them at a decent price since they have been sold out forever but there is a listing for some on armslist but the guy wants 300 for a 5 of them. If anyone would be willing to verify if these are legit or if it’s a scam or if anyone else is looking for some let me know. Thanks!

I need one for my new MDRX

Just an FYI/PSA for anyone that uses or has considered using Big Daddy Unlimited. After having a subscription for a few months I placed my first order a couple of weeks ago. Earlier today I was checking on an item that I was still waiting for and found the prices on the site were different that the prices on my order confirmation. Two of the items showed a 10% difference. One item showed a 24% variance. When I asked the customer service rep, he said that the prices might vary based on the warehouse the item ships from. But a 24% variance? Looking at the final prices I paid, it would have been cheaper to order from any number of online retailers.

So, to anyone considering using BDU, all I can say is save the $10 a month membership fee and shop elsewhere.

it never occurred to me to ever consider going with a subscription service on what I MIGHT by. The gun industry is not without it's grade A douchebags, such as Vulcan or Hesse, but in these cases, I repeat myself;)

I gave it a shot since they sponsor a handful of Pro-2A YouTubers. The premise is you pay the membership/subscription fee to get stuff at wholesale prices. And if you look at the listed prices on the site (which you have to be a subscriber to do) they are generally cheaper than what you would see normally. That would come in really handy when buying a lot of ammo or accessories. The rub is when you go to checkout and find that the prices are the same (if not higher) than you can find elsewhere.

I think my next rifles will be in .243, I know Remington made the 7600 in .243 but are there other options for pump guns in .243? Any viable semi-auto .243 guns out there also?

pretty sure you can either buy or build an AR10/LR308 in .243 since it is based on the .308 cartridge. Henry also makes the Long Ranger in .243 if you want a lever gun, I'm guessing you want something other than bolt actions ?

I forgot about the AR10 platform and .243, I’ll have to look into it. The long ranger would be a good contender also...
I already have a Remington Mohawk 600 in .243 (it’s actually my sisters but she doesn’t shoot it) and I think I want more than one platform for the caliber, plus the barrel is a bit short on the Mohawk for ideal velocity.

Finding an AR10 barrel in 243 should be fairly easy compared to a 308 or 6.5

    6mm creedmoor’s are fairly common in AR10 platforms too. 6mm = .243

But if you change barrel, don’t you also have to change the BCG?

    Maybe not....:notsure:

? You might if it doesn’t headspace correctly with the bolt you have. But if you are mentioning it because of the cartridge sizes, a bolt face diameter of .473 will cover all the cartridges talked about so far.

I think I want to stick to one brass for loading, that may change next year when I have a little bit more room but right now my .243 reloads are costing about 35 cents per round and I would like to stay budget minded.
I’m mainly looking for inexpensive to load, decent performance (on paper out to 600 or further, on deer out to 200) and the ability to load them light for a soft shooter.

Not necessarily, the .243 is a necked down .308.
