Was someone looking for a mini-14? Saw one at local gun shop new for $799. I didnt think it was too bad price.

C&H called today to confirm my address before they shipped my M&P slide back, hopefully I’ll have it by Monday and then almost half of my full size pistols will have red dots on them.

Also an obligatory pic of the step brothers. 10.5” pistol and 11.5” SBR.

I agree, I’ve got 4 30rd 5.56, and the pistols came with 2 mags each when I bought them. I’ve yet to need more, and sure as hell ain’t carrying my basic load when riding down to Walmart.

The reasons that I tell people to buy as many mags as they can are:

1.)mags are expendable items. After a certain amount of time shooting them, they can become damaged (feed lips cracked or bent) spring wearing out.

2.) You can always learn to reload, powder and bullets will most likely return to normal, and you can "make" rounds at home. Magazines on the other hand, require multi million dollar sets of polymer molds and steel presses to manufacture reliably and correctly.

Hence why I dont know how many boxes of pmags, d&h mags and glock mags I own.

Probably at least 100 glock mags, and way over that in pmags for 308s and 556s.

I dont include the specialty mags like d60s and Sr25 factory KAC mags in that number.

Just my 2cents as someone that has firearms as a major hobby

That's great. I have a lgs pretty close by. Every time I go into there to window shop and look at random trade in guns, I grab a mag or 2 and buy them if I dont get a gun.

If you do that once a month for a year, you'll have a decent amount of mags, without it really hurting (at least pmags) over a time.

Also, certain sizes of mags can and have been outlawed before (we won't get into the unconstitutionality of this) and I'm sure certain "lawmakers" wouldn't mind doing so again
