I shoot quite a bit so I was good while I was in. I spent a few years on SRT and we shot all the time there. Once I retired I didn't shoot as much and I have gotten rusty.

 

Cool thing about the laser stuff - do it in your basement with no ammo costs and no lead issues. No recoil unless you get the CO2 stuff, but it's close enough to shoothouse to get in good training imho.

 

True. I'm single so I can use the whole house. Set up a mini shoot house.

 

Ha! The wife shoots too, but we can't exactly hang silhouettes all over the house or the kids will ask questions...

 

Mommy and Daddy are playing LARP games. My daughter is grown. I don't even have a dog to explain things to. How do you think I can afford to buy guns, ammo, and a new truck?

Eventually. Still working on basic safety and accuracy for the kids, first. Pretty young kids, though. Let's put it this way - the Daisy 'Buck' is still a touch oversized for the younger one.

 

I'm getting ready to buy crickets for the two grandkids. They still have to wait a year or two before they can shoot them but I can start working on the safety and fundamentals with them.

Henry Mini Bolt looks interesting for when they earn the ability for real guns.

 

Those look really nice and, like the savage rascal, are a big step up in quality from the cricket. We went with the rascal as it cocks when you close the bolt and has a safety like a full size.
She could put a can on it if I had one lolthis was 2 years ago it fits her better now and she has 4x scope on it

 

I do like that savage. I was looking at this one for them. I know it's overkill but I need to spoil the grandkids to annoy the kids.

 

If they earn a place on a rifle team, hell yeah.

 

It's more to annoy the kids. Like giving the grandkid a pixie stik right before their parents pick them up.
