Should have had your buddy warranty it for you, since he never shot it.

Yeah I guess so, I didn’t even think of that when I called because it’s brand new and the problems are so blatant I just assumed it would be handled no problem.

If nothing else, you have publicity to encourage them to do the right thing. You have already voiced your concerns in a thread that has at least 23,660 views (your post number) on a forum that has over 383k members. There are at least 20 of us that view this thread regularly, and probably many more. The thread is viewable to both members and non-members.

You'd love to tell us all that they took care of you without any problems and that they are a stand-up company.

Well I guess my fears were unfounded. They emailed me back this morning with an approval letter saying they’ll honor the warranty.

Was in a funk last night sitting around thinking about having to fork over hundred in repairs. Talk about a huge weight off my shoulders.

Sucks I have deal with this at all, but this is the best outcome for a shitty situation so I’ll take it.

After about 3 years I finally pulled the rifle my Grandpa left me out of the back of the safe and fired it for the first time. Not sure why I waited or why today was the day but it felt good. Gun is nothing special, a Savage 110 in .243 Win. My Dad and I shot the 4 rounds that my Grandpa left loaded in it when we picked it up. Just felt like sharing.

Hit me right in the feels for some reason. My grandpa is still around and likes shooting, gotta take that old timer to the range soon.

My grandpa's family were subsistence farmers in rural Alabama and never had much money. I have a Remington 550-1 that my grandpa bought with his first check from the Air Force and gave as a gift to his father. The stock is one that my dad made from a hickory tree in the yard of his childhood home after my great grandfather cracked the original stock. My dad says he doesn't remember ever seeing my great grandfather without that rifle. It stayed in his truck and any time he was in the woods it was with him for small game that didn't steer clear. Not that anyone would pay it but there isn't enough money in the world to get me to give that thing up. I've been meaning to take it squirrel hunting since that's apparently what it was used for the most.

To add to this conversation my boss who owns the gun shop I work at took a PTR9, bought an MP5 full auto trigger pack and dropped those internals into a Magpul Hk lower without modification and it popped right onto the PTR.

    Boom, instant brrrt brrt.
