The market is saturated with mags now, not like it was back in '94, when Pmags were going for $75 at gun shows. I think a lot of folks won't make that mistake again. With Pmags and USGI mags currently around $9-$10 a pop, it's your own fault if you don't pick up any extra.

Do it Will, while you still can. Lots of infringing stuff coming down the pipeline and who knows? Some of them may pass.

Freedom day for the Turbo K (10 months and 6 days). Worked flawlessly with my 11.5.

How'd you file? That seems long for an e-file and short for a paper file?

E-file only started in December so it has to have been paper

Paper back in August 2021. It was 10 months, not 8 as I stated.

Quick Form 1 question for converting AR Pistol to SBR. Question 4f (Overall Length). How does one determine this if the stock can't be legally mounted?

i think its to the end of the buffer tube since it can be fired without the stock, but not the buffer tube.

don't quote me tho. i have never filed, just based on my limited research.

So it's the length of the existing AR Pistol and not the to be made SBR?

    Same crap everyone else got
My understanding when measuring length is always from the end of the buffer tube to the end of the barrel minus muzzle device unless side device is pinned and welded on.

Measure the AR pistol from the end of the threads to the crease of the receiver (where the upper/lower meet at the buffer tube), write it down.
Take the bare lower, install the stock (do not install the upper!!!) and measure from the crease to the end of the stock fully extended, write that down.
Add the two lengths together and boom, you have your overall length.

My lower is at my lgs right now getting engraved. I can't measure the pistol tube. Is a pistol tube and rifle/carbine tube the same length?

Theoretically the pistol buffer tube and a standard carbine tube are the same length, ripstock and rifle length buffers are different length (ripstock is shorter, rifle (A2) is longer)

    No problem!

I just collapsed the brace to the shortest position and measured from the end of that to the end of the barrel minus muzzle device.
