That Springfield Pro is from long before any second amendment shenanigans.

I’ve had this gun since 2010. And it’s made by the custom shop.

You must be a time traveler because the DS Prodigy literally just released.

Yeah, that was the video that built so much hype for that gun. Only it turned out to be a dud.

DS = double stack. I've only been referring to the new Prodigy, what the thread is about, and am saying I won't buy anything new from Springfield anymore because of shady past behavior.

I already have a Staccato, but was curious how this would stack up as a budget alternative. Seems like they've still got some issues to work out.

Staccato are good guns and run well. I don’t know that I’d spend $4k on one though!

That's only if you're getting something like an XC or XL. I have the P DPO and with taxes it ran me about $2700. A C2 would be around $2200ish give or take.

    Sorry, only $2700, super cheap.

Lol yeah not the cheapest when you look at the number by itself, but pretty reasonable when you start comparing other boutique 1911/2011 builds, and what you're getting for the money. For duty-grade handguns, they're extremely fast and smooth shooters.

I hear so many good things about sig optics. That said, I closed my eyes and bit the bullet.

Aero 9mm pistol is the plan. If that turns out to be too much optic for the gun, I could move it to a normal AR platform rifle.

I love my EXPS3. Big, beautiful eyebox and Eotech reticles make for super fast and easy acquisition. Great optics.

Good to hear. I was a little hesitant to spend that much on an optic and I want to keep bulk down. This gun is already heavier than I want it to be, but I want it to be reliable in all aspects above anything else.

Where do you all keep your firearm in the truck? I usually just keep the middle console empty and place it there.

I believe in Nevada you have to have it either on your body or hidden in a compartment.

I can't keep it on my belt because I would scratch everything in the truck.
