Don’t recall the target size. Good size target though. Most all of the rest of the test was 7 yards or less. The 75 feet never made sense to me either. Here in California the ccw requirements vary by county. It’s up to each county sheriff . I may be in the only county that has the 75’ target distance.

Interesting. Is the shooting qualification required only at time of new/initial permit? Or at renewal as well? Once and done here in ME.

Ours are good for 7 years. You're required to fire a gun one time, and the instructors yell at you if you aim it. Hit the backstop, put it down and quicly step to the side.

Actually requal course is 1/2 day not a full day. Also you have to qualify with the gun you are going to carry. You can choose up to 3 guns for carry and you have to qualify with each. If you get a new gun you want to conceal carry you have to qualify with that gun and one of the other 3 guns of your choice is removed from your approved list of carry guns. Yes I know California is all fucked up when it comes to guns and 2A.

We have "Constitutional Carry" here in Maine in addition to the permit process. There are disclosure differences (when LE is present) betweeen the two. More disclosure required with Consitutional Carry.

Just a heads up for anyone with imported pistols with braces. The new ATF overreach states the new classification making them rifles requires them to fall under 922.r, so the only option is to surrender them to the ATF or destroy them. CZ Scorpions, Stribogs, AK Dracos, HK SP5s, etc. All toast.

I brought ught this up in another thread. I don’t take what I see as gospel but the coverage of this throughout YouTube has been pretty good so far. I’ve wanted a Scorpion for quite a while kinda glad I haven’t bought one yet perhaps when this all gets taken care of

no time to watch the vid right now but couldn’t you just replace the correct number of parts to make it 922r compliant? That’s what you’re supposed to do when you SBR them anyway but I’m sure most don’t.

My post states nothing at all related to that. Here in Maine, under Constitutional carry, one must disclose to LE (if being questioned, etc....most likely via a traffic stop) that they are carrying. That's not required (but probably still a good idea) if you're carrying with a permit. There are probably both criminals and non-criminals that wouldn't disclose. I respect LE enough to do so.
