I put a Volquartsen upgrade kit in mine - it eliminated the magazine safety interlock.

Once you get the hang of it, it's not too much of a PITA to assemble the guns. Of course, put it down for a day, and you have to re-learn the process.

I’ve wanted a 22/45 for a long time, but I never seem to be able to combine opportunity with $$$.

My dad bought a Mk I like 40+ yrs ago, got stolen in 1989, bought a Mk II Standard to replace it and then a nice SS Mk III Hunter about 10 yrs ago.

Getting the recoil spring pin back though the hole in the bolt was always tricky but never an issue

Have no experience with the Mk IV with the "improved" design

The Mk IV is definitely easier to open/close. Internals are about the same.

I don’t know…I think I’m just biased…here was my choice and would purchase it again if I didn’t already own it

I had a heavy target model in stainless. 5”? I regretted selling it the moment I watched it walk away. That blued one looks great with that optic.

I’ve thought of getting the sort of holographic sight like Pointman‘s.

Those are both beautiful handguns. You could easily collect nothing but Ruger MK .22s and never get bored.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
Yall see that XD Mod 3? The XD9 was my second pistol ever and it was fantastic, used it in IDPA and action pistol for a while but ultimately sold it.

was pumped to see the xd mod 3 come out with an MSRP of 325 i ordered it right away from Grabagun. Picked it up this morning, impressive build, fit and finish for 300 bucks. Cant wait to get it out once my optic plate shows up.

Yeah this is a MKII Government Target with a Ultra dot. Very accurate. I have one exactly like pointman's with the same UD. That's my favorite.

I’ve sold off a few Ruger 22s, but these are the ones I’ve kept.

My son has the Mod 3. It’s a nice shooter. People can say what they want. My XD gets better every time I shoot it.

When I flew last time the TSA confiscated my Orpaz Defense Paddle Holster. Sucks because I really liked that holster. It fit my S&W M&P 9c but my 2.0 w/ 5" barrel hung out the bottom. So when I replaced it I went a different direction. I got an OWB Belt loop holster from https://upperhandholsters.com/. Been wearing it around for a few days and it is great. I like the ride and height. Even though it is an OWB, it conceals much easier than the Orpaz because it tucks in close to the body.

Can't wait to take it out on a hike or something active to see how well it performs, but for now, around town, it's doing the business that needs doing.

I’ll take an XD over just about any other handgun I’ve shot. I’ve been loyal to them for a long ass time.

I've got a S&W Model 422 that's really fun to shoot. I wouldn't mind a Ruger 22 at some point in the future.
