The S&Ws I’ve had were great guns, but wouldn’t run dirty like the Rugers would. Only had two from the 80s, so small sample size. Very accurate and fun to shoot though.

Mine seems to run okay on box winchester. The P22 needs mini mags though. It's not my favorite, but the ergos are 1911 ish and perfectly fine. Mag drop being on the grip is okay.

Guns that have something to say can be fun.

yeah, she’s a killer. Wish they stayed young. She’s an ER doc and hasn’t had much time for hunting for awhile. She likes pretty guns.

What’s the specifics on the rifle? It has a great look!

(It’s cool you two shoot together. My wife is 100% tolerant of my sport, but has something close to zero interest in participating.)

Just to be clear, this is my daughter. She developed an interest in hunting when she was 13.

This rifle is a Remington M700 action with a Mark Chanlynn barrel in a McMillan A5 in 7-08.
The bear rifle is a Remington M7 action with Chanlynn barrel in a McMillan M7 stock in .257 Robert’s.

Mark built several rifles for me. He learned the trade from Boots Obermeyer and built them ground up the right way. My serious mountain hunting rifle is a 7-08 he built for me on a M7 action.

I’m not sure what did it. She started shooting early but had no interest in hunting. Then when she was 13 she said she wanted to hunt the early youth deer hunt. She never looked back. My son liked the idea of hunting, but not the early mornings for deer or work for mountain animals.

I also ran with her a lot. We did a lot of 10K and half marathons together. Enjoy them when they are home. They grow up and leave.

Both my daughters are competent shooters. They both love going to the range and ringing steel, but have never gone without me. One is a Chef in Milwaukee and the other is graduating with her PhD in genetics this year. Neither have put rounds down range in 5+ years. I’m not going to lie. I miss having them near.

Don't feel too bad, both of my daughters live within 4 hours of me. Very rarely do either of them come to visit. I know they have busy lives, but give an old man a break every now and then. I taught both of them to shoot, but one has drank the koolaid and is very liberal in her thinking. My oldest married an ex marine so I know she'll keep up shooting from time to time.

I used to shoot with Boots Obermeyer. He was active in the Wisconsin shooting scene when I was on the state team. My Dad’s match rifle is an Obermeyer-built Model 70 in .30/06.

Sog range bag at Costco. Saw this today. The zippers were zip tied together so I couldn’t examine inside. Outside looks well made. I’m not in the market but $50 in store or $55 online.

Slipped some LOK grips on my girl (dark red). Slimmed her down and now feels great in my hand. They're so nice now my non-shooting hand is jealous. Made In USA.

I’ve had either an identical one or one that’s pretty close. Proven to be nearly indestructible!
