I have the non-rechargeable TLR7A on my RMR G19. I like it. Holster friendly. Bright enough.

Kept getting loose until I put Loctite on the threads.

Well I said screw it and purchased the 365 AXG Legion. That is something I will carry.

Since selling my G43X, I have become a little lazy on daily carry with only having G19X/G17/CZ s2c. The Glocks went up on consignment today and I will keep the CZ.

Now I'll have a "few" G17 mags to sell and a couple holsters.

I’ve been carrying and shooting third generation G19s over 20 years.

Got no issues with them. I haven’t touched a 1911 in months, I occasionally shoot my SA Pro. I sold off most my Wilsons and Guncrafters.

I think it’s funny that the OG G19 guys have become the new 1911 Fudds and are complaining about all the newfangled polymer striker fire guns.

Weight, Capacity and cost of 1911s dont help them much. My run n gun sunday funday range toys are primarily 2011s.

its hard for me to go back and forth between the grip angles and triggers of 2011s and Glocks.

I dont think id sell my glocks, but they mostly sit in the safe. My 19X is fully loaded and chambered tho, it i need to grab something thats guaranteed to go bang, its that.

Not a huge Glock guy either. I shoot them pretty well and they are reliable AF. I now just want something that feels great in my hand and fits well.

Hope your Kimber is 100% more reliable than my TLE/RL .45 was. I gave that gun away. Not sure about the 9mm, but the .45 recoil springs is supposed to be changed out every 700 rounds...fyi.

I saw a cop carrying a Stacatto here, I haven’t tried one of those yet, but if I ever move to a place without rosters and capacity restrictions I might buy one for shits and giggles.

    I like the Platypus, too.

That platypus is probably a really good compromise between Glock grip angle and 2011 trigger

Staccato are pretty good and I recommend them for someone who wants a really good one right out of the box, but they are primarily designed for duty. There are other options around the same price range that are more fit for fun and competition that just feel and function better they just aren’t duty proven And you probably don’t want a 2 pound trigger for duty

Some compact 1911s that use traditional style springs are only rated for a few hundred rounds.

Most people like to swap them out for flat springs.

I used to be a 1911 guy. The 3” bois chew up traditional springs fast.

Most modern ones use captive recoil spring assemblies and flat wire springs which are substantially more durable.

Yep. Kimber is good about that.

My brother's 1911 Kimber custom has always ran like a clock though...but that was when their QC department was top notch.

I was pretty shocked as well. I get it 3-5k rounds. I have actually never changed a recoil spring out (on a factory carry gun). Even my Sig 226 that I had for 15 years that had who knows how many rounds ran through it.

This is what I had (missing rail) in 4". I had some serious feed issues.

@ColoradoTJ same with my P228 from back in the early 90s. I've only started playing with springs recently with the P365 Comp and FN 502, and then especially playing with suppressors with both of them.
