Should I get a used LE trade in (unissued, supposedly unfired) M&P 40 with 3 mags for $410 or Brand new M&P 40 with range and carry kit (3 mags, holster, dual mag pouch, and maglula) for $550?

I'd like to get a Serpa holster for it (Even with the blade tech that comes with the kit), and the maglula would be nice, but it's not necessary.

Best place to get glock mags? Everywhere either has good prices and ridiculous shipping or terrible proves and ok shipping

M&P 40 with 3 mags, night sights, and box (Police trade in, used) for $370 (after FFL fees).
    I'm sorely tempted.

That looks like an easy way to quadruple my ammo bill and my time on the reloading bench simultaneously.

the thunder of 300win mag

Interested in how that shoots and how much velocity is lost compared to a bolt action

Unfortunately for me, something like that will never be available left handed. Nor would i ever actually have a need for one

I was lucky enough to score a great deal the other day. I was leaving the BX on Barksdale AFB and the PA system announced "for the next 20 minutes, all Sigs, Walthers, and Springfields are 20% off. I sprinted back there and snagged a Springfield XDS .45 for about $425. Great little CCW, and shoots great! Much better than I expected from such a small .45

Flew with a gun on United for the first time. Weird that they had me open up the hard case in front of everyone, but, hey, it got to my destination. Oddly enough, my pocket knife was the thing that was handled and moved around in my bag by TSA.

I had heard that all airlines did that, so I was surprised when the Delta agents told me they didn't want to see it.

^^ Hm. I wasn't sure what to expect. I was worried about having someone freak out in line so blocked it with my body.

Did you fly with extra ammo? I'm thinking about buying some out here and flying home with it...

For ammo just make sure it's in factory boxes. Anything "loose" will be an issue. Some folks have had success with ammo in mags, but not in the firearm. I'm not willing to risk that. $.02
