So is it a good sign that the ATF cashed my check about a week after sending in form 4? Or is that pretty standard and I'll still have to wait 6 months to forever for approval?

I bought an M&P .45 in Socal just a few years ago when I was stationed there. Odd that it fell off the list, so to speak. It is a strange state. More guns in Cali than any other (almost twice as many as Texas) but crazy laws that everyone largely ignores. People seem to be completely ambivalent to any laws there in my experience. Like, if an off list pistol is a felony, why not have a machine gun? Same "crime", might as well. The only difference is that people don't bust out their toys until they get to know you, and people take great care to drive way the fuck out in the desert to be alone and shoot. Funny place, and I do not wish to go back there. Everything I enjoy doing is a felony there, but in Oregon it's not only legal, it's socially acceptable!
