I have fired many thousands of rounds out of various belt fed full auto machine guns into the parched soil of California desert, legally. Go talk to a recruiter at the mall. :D

(I bet Benelli will make it right Chris!)

Is everyone stocked up on 62 grain green tip? Looks like the ban hammer is on the way...ATF is up to their shenanigans again playing the "armor piercing" pistol ammo card. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/02/foghorn/atf-moves-ban-m855-ss109-5-56-ammunition/

My bad. I figured it was ok because it's technically a regulation change that many aren't aware of.

    Mueller Optics?

Considering the APV for a Ruger American Predator 22lr. Assembled in China, but is supposed to have Japanese glass.

    http://muelleroptics.com/mapv451440

Anyone have any experience with their stuff? It's come down to the Mueller or a Buckmasters Nikon. Both can be had at the same price point.

Really? We've survived the last 2 years without an issue...and this is a private site....1st amendment refers to your freedom of speech in regards to government. We can restrict you all we want on a PRIVATELY held Internet forum. If you don't like the rules here, feel free to visit another forum.

Although I am a huge supporter of the Constitution, I mostly agree with the mods on this one. It doesn't take long for any forum to turn into a shit show if you bring in politics. I don't want TW to turn into the huffpo or msnbc forums where it's a series of insults hurled back and forth with zero intelligent discussion. As a technicality, I disagree with the statement
(it's more than that but you get the idea) but do agree with the gist of the argument that we are in their house, and abide by their rules.

I have that exact scope on my Ruger American Rimfire. I like it. Glass is nice neough for me for my rimfire. Works great on the 50 yard line and out to 100.

    Id recommend it

3%er? There are several "questionable posts" in this thread from post SandyHook fallout, was going to quote, but Meh. However, there are forums out there in which guns/laws/politics are discussed daily with no discernable drama. Does that speak of TW clientele's collective character that we cannot have those discussions here? The info I post here in regards to legislation is an attempt to inform fellow 2nd amendment supporters of pending legislation that may affect their rights, not to start a shit show. Rather than deal with members here, whom cannot articulate their input in an intelligent and respectful manner, we avoid such topics all together like an incestual pregnancy at Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone posting in this thread is Pro 2A. We need to stick together and keep each other informed on current events as well as which store has the cheapest pmags.

Thank you. Will it stretch to 200?

True dat. I have expressed my concerns to the Boss about content limitation previously. Wish he would do some house cleaning so we could get down to brass tacks though.

Unfortunately, I do not. Although I would love to, I never seem to have funding available to get setup. I am an admitted rimfire addict, which doesn't work well for a reloader. I have until years recent stuck to the rimfires and centerfire pistols mostly. A recent purchase may persuade me to look more into it. Finally bought a .223 bolt gun. It will be as good as any reason for me to start into the mad science that is reloading. I am more interested in being able to produce accurate for my needs loads than to just mass produce. I know...my screen name...totally unrelated to firearms.

Yup itll do 200. I used it on the 200 yard line once. I mostly used it on the 50 yard line to be honest though. But itll do just fine one 16x at the 200 yard line. Its no Vortex PST or nightforce quality glass but itll still work! I have to use a spotting scope to see holes on paper though but thats as much my eyesight as anything else.

Reloading is something i both wish everyone would do but also dont want them to do...more components for me! But in all seriousness i can make better ammo than factory stuff. Even my cheap plinking ammo (surplus powder and bulk honrady 55fmj-bt's) is capable of subMOA ammo. My dad was shooting PMC, Federal, ect 855 and 193 stuff and most of his groups were 2-3". Loaded up some of my ammo with him and brought his groups down to 1-1.5".

Starting out my setup cost probably all of 250 bucks which isnt to bad. Then just your components

Brand of choice for loading (press)? I came very close to buying a Lee 1000 at one time as it would do 9mm,.40 and .223 which is all I really need out of one.

I would NOT recommend the Lee 1000. I had one and never had it run smoothly. The priming system blows. The case feeder only works ok and i constantly was adjusting it. I sold mind after probably a month of use.

What press really depends on three things. 1) Amount you plan to shoot 2) Cost you want to spend 3) How long you want to spend reloading

I used a Lee Turret for a long time and it has made thousands of rounds of ammo. I never used the auto-index but rather used it as a single stage and turned the turret to the die i needed. I used to come home and load ~50-100 rounds a night which took ~30 minutes. Didnt take long to have a stockpile of ammo ready to go in 9 (115 and 147s), 45, and 10mm. But i also dont shoot pistol all that often.

I recently got a Dillon 550b though cause im reloading more and more for myself and my dad for 223. Press works great and is pretty easy to use but is a lot more complex than the lee turret. Just a lot more going on. But its also 5x the cost of the Lee Turret.

I do plan to pick up a nice single stage for my match ammo and for resizing.

Not really helpful im sure but just to many different routes to go! If you ask the same question (what press to get) youll get 50 different answers :)

I honestly have no clue. Ive only shot my RAR like 3 times and its been probably 8 months since i did. If i was home id look for you but im away for work
