Looking at getting a 308 bolt rifle with a 16" barrel, preferably a detachable magazine.
Looking at the mossberg MVP patrol, but I'm open to other weapons.

Factory threaded barrel is a plus also.

If you're open to the possibility of a lever gun, you ought to take a look to see if you can find a Browning BLR. I have one of the older Belgium models (pre-1981) which comes with a detachable magazine and is a truly awesome rifle. I'd suggest avoiding the pre-81 rifles since buying spare magazines can get really pricey really fast.

I'd guess $500 to $600 depending on its condition and the local community where you're gonna sell it.

I love lever guns, but I already have a marlin 30-30 and I feel like I need more variation to my collection, and I don't have a bolt action rifle.

A BLR is definitely on my list though, I'm also a big fan of the BAR.

I've also never seen a suppressed lever gun, I'm not sure how well it would work.

Beautiful gun, no idea on the price though.

All the standard options are out there - Savage, Remington. I even had an FN PBR cut down to 20" for my can. Tons of options.

It would work great. Just like a bolt action, no escaping gas out the action, and no reliability issues. Teddy Roosevelt had a suppressed lever action. Seriously.

Not really interested in the Remington's, savage does seem like a good option.

That would be cool to have.

I am in the 20th century, I just want a bolt gun.

I'm building my own can, don't have to worry about that.

I'm sure it's mentioned in the 235 pages in this thread. But is there a good website to buy bulk 9mm target ammo? Brass 115g or 124g. Maybe with free shipping and no tax? I've been buying 115g Winchester FMJ 200 round boxes at Academy Sports for around $55. I feel like it's a fair price but just didn't know if I'm missing out on an even better deal. Thanks.

I'll check into the howa, thanks.

Detachable, I've had a few rifles with the dropping floor plate and I'm not really a fan.

I've got a RAP in 308. It's just a hunting rifle for me so I didn't need/want to drop $1000+ on something to be beat around in the woods. I'm pretty sure @RCBS has one too, I forget what his is chambered in though.

It ran me just around $500 with optics. Accurate enough that I'm happy with it. Granted here in PA most deer won't be more than 150yds out..
