As long as it's never had a buttstock on it, it's no more of a rifle than a TC Contender pistol is, or a Ruger Charger pistol, or the HK clone one post above, or any one of a dozen pistol versions of rifle patterns.

Now, legally I am fine, the ATF has a letter out stating it, I can find it and post it here if needed for future reference. However, I plan on a phase 5 pistol tube since I won't file for the stamp until December, and it looks like they are taking around 5 months now. Not sure how true that is, but it looks ugly this way. But I have the heavybuffers.com setup since it works well on a suppressed 9mm. If I can get a pistol tube setup cheap and it runs well I will swap it. If it gets finicky with cycling I will keep this on and ensure the stock stays away. I don't have the stock with the rifle anyhow.

Sights aren't useless on an AR pistol.

You can easily have a 200 yard and out conversation with an AR pistol. It's about technique and experience such as a sling that allows you to create isometric tension.

Try the light source at 11 o' clock or 1 o' clock - depending on which side you "shoulder" the weapon on.

You'll like it. The Trijicon MRO seems to be just as good for a couple hundred less. If I had it to do over, I'd take a hard look at it. But I like my T2.

If the trijicon MRO took aimpoint mounts, I'd get one. I'm too heavily invested in Aimpoint micro style mounts to have to buy new ones for the MRO

As an instructor, I'm typically rear of the line and well out of the danger zone of hot brass. Well, today I had to requal as well so I got some happy trigger time. The bad part was I ended up on the lane next to one of my guys who is 3 inches taller than me and wouldn't you know, the sucker gave me the worst case of brass rash I've ever had with a .223 stuck between my shirt collar and neck.

    ooooooh....ouch.
Did that with the shell from a .32 Special out of a Winchester '94 when I got my first deer. Made it just that little bit more memorable, lol.

Oh come on. Y'all know the key is not that it won't burn, but not caring that it does.

If you shoot enough, it's going to happen. If you bounce around like an idiot when a little brass hits you, you'll look like an idiot. If you deal with it, you'll look like a professional. When it's snowing or freezing out I stand next to people and catch brass to warm my hands up.

I've had rifle brass come down and get lodged in my internal armor. It was freezing out so really, it was just a bit of a warmer.

About 5 months ago I had brass bounce off a door jam...either the side or top, then come down and get stuck between my Oakleys and my forehead. The mouth of the brass cut me pretty well but it was a non issue since the hot brass cauterized the would. There's a plus side to everything!

There's a reason it stayed there long enough to blister. I finished my course of fire then extracted it calmly. The long profanity came when I accidentally tore the blister off.

I Remember the first time I had hot brass land down my back....was getting ready to shoot single handed with a single action revolver with a light trigger....piece went down my shirt and scared the crap out of me.....I missed my shot

Shrug. I did a dance. I was 15, it was 10 degrees out (the brass was considerably hotter when it went down my collar), and I was already nervous having just taken my first shot at what would be my first deer. Jumped the shit out of me when I ejected the spent shell and jacked a new one in and felt something burning hot roll down my neck, lol.

When I was in high school there were kids that thought they were cool because they could burn themselves with a lighter and make a smiley face scar and it didn't hurt. I was never impressed

9mm brass isn't hot at all. Rifle brass is a different story.
