Anyone have a line on factory Glock 17 mags for ~$25 shipped? That's about the only thing I'm still really searching for.

$25 shipped is going to be difficult. Even before the scare they usually went for $25 plus shipping minimum and that's still one of those mags that's difficult to find. I've got a line on some but they're about $10 more per mag. If you're interested let me know.

Anyone have experience with the Magpul AFG? Thinking of putting one on my 870 forend.

I love mine, prefer it over my other fore grip. Its comfortable and is a tacticool points multiplier as well

Good to hear. Yeah it looks like a more natural grip angle and seems more comfortable
I will have to add some picatinny rails to my forend. Sounds like a fun weekend project!

I've got them on a few rifles but wouldn't put one on an 870. Just an unnatural angle for working the slide and it's not like you're going to utilize a grip-over on it with an 870. Just my opinion.

I have a speedfeed pistol grip stock on mine. I guess the worst case I get one and don't like it and have to sell it

I can see where you are coming from. I definitely will not be using a TOB grip on a shotty. In pictures the grip angle looks (to me at least) somewhat natural.

The point of the AFG is to put your hand at the right angle for top-over control on an AR15. Not only will it make an 870 awkward for not really having a quality default position for your grip on a non-static fore-end but the slide cycles straight forward and straight back so the grip angle w/o an AFG is flat. Changing this angle makes slide manipulation less organic for lack of a better descriptor. Certain things really are just better the way they were designed and this is one of those IMHO.

Unless I missed something... he's asking about the Magpul AFG on an 870 and not the MEO forend which is what you have pictured. That piece is fine and I like the way it feels compared to a stock 870 forend. The SGA stock for the same shotgun is great and gives a better cheek weld. It's fugly as all get out but it's quite functional and I like it. The two go together nicely.

Unless I've misunderstood he's asking about this:

Yeah makes sense now! It would translate your motion at the angle of the grip, not straight back. It would waste energy. I'm glad you talked me out of it because oncr I get my mind set on something I usually don't stop until its done haha.

That's what I was trying to say. It's easy to do with firearms these days because they make SO much crap for them. Lots of times if you're not sure you need it the answer is no. If you need something there won't be that much thought required. Usually if you're thinking about it that much you're trying to talk yourself into it. ;)

Anyone shot or held the Glock 30S? Seems like a powerful little compact. I've shot the 36, and a doublestack 30s will be that much more controllable.
