Nice, just bought a shield 9mm, havent had a chance to go out with it yet though. Intend on getting used to it and then taking a class to get my CCW. Feels real comfortable in the hand which is nice, my wife liked the feel as well which is interesting since she didnt care for the XDS 9mm when we were looking to get her a gun. She thought it was too slim and therefore hard to grip, so she chose the XD Mod2

ha. My wife's gun is a XD mod 2 9mm actually, nice gun. Little fat to conceal on a small guy like me though I think. :)
My other gun is a Glock 21, great for protection out camping in the mountains and such, just not for carrying all the time.

    I don't own a 9mm currently.[/QUOTE]

Check out the new trigger on the sa/da sig legion, bad ass. I just grabbed the 226 to host my octane.

Sig collaborated with Bruce Gray on the Legion trigger, and it's 10x better than the already phenomenal SRT trigger. Like ridiculously good.

As you can tell from my handle, I'm a Sig fan. I typically carry a P239, though I did just get my HK P30 back from Gray Guns, and it may be my new "go to" carry piece. The trigger is like butter, and the ergos are incredible.

Silly me signed up for the Freedom Munitions '25 days of Christmas' emails. So far I've ordered 500 rounds of .45ACP FMJ and 250 rounds each of 9mm and 45 XTP hollow points. And it's only the 10th, haha! :frusty:

I am actually sending my Sig M11-A1 off to Gray Guns this weekend so he can work his magic with the already super SRT trigger the wait will be long but worth it I hear.

It was an 8 week turn around for my HK, and believe me, the wait was totally worth it. I bought the P30 for it's ergos (which are the most stellar of any pistol I've ever held in my hand), but when I got it to the range, I realized that the trigger was just south of awful. I shipped it to GG a few days later, and when it came back it was like night and day. Smooth as glass, very little reset and no noticeable creep. It's like shooting a new gun. All I can think is that if they can do that to the awful HK trigger, what the hell can they do with the SRT (which is already ridiculously good). Then I shot a Legion. The Legion trigger is too perfect to even describe. The only thing that I can compare it to (in SA) is an Ed Brown 1911, and there is no comparison, that Ive felt in DA.

I have heard many satisfied customers @ my LGS say awesome things about Gray Guns as they are the ones who recommended I send it to them. They are also doing to the shipping/Receiving for me....

    Quick rant...

the ignorance of some people amazes me like honestly. I just had to shut my trap due to a co-worker (ignorant person #1) going off on what guns do, KILL that is all they do #1 says. another coworker (person #2) was saying her son wants to buy a gun, good for him so long as he is responsible, he is 22 but lives in her house and she doesn't want it there. fine that is respectable. #1 started raising their voice saying what if your boys get in an argument and BAM shoots his brother!

I know everyone is raised differently and clearly this is one of those cases but to be afraid of something you do not know and try to push it on other people is just plain dumb. might I add that #2 was raised around guns and still shoots she just doesn't want one there for her own reasons, not like the hippy tree hugging freak out if gun is mentioned person #1.

anyone have any thoughts on this? I have already been in a heated "discussion" on the events of recent shootings and how it is not the guns fault, not to mention on how anyone can get a gun if they try hard enough laws or not.

I have several, but I'm going to keep them to myself in the interests of keeping this thread unlocked.
What I will say is that if you want to have that discussion with somebody, go in armed with facts. Do research ahead of time about your positions and have facts to back up rhetoric. Most of the arguments I've seen for gun control are emotionally driven and not based in fact, and many of the 'facts' that are tossed around are nebulous and have been discredited or disproven. Keep your cool and don't get emotional, because as soon as you do you've lost whether you're correct in your position or not. :notsure:

Sounds like emotion fueled due in part to ignorance,..
I was once told by an staunch anti-firearm supporter that he was offended that I would even want to own firearms.
I told him that I was offended by his offense, the conversation end with a stunned silence on his part.

I have actually invited a number of anti-firearms folks to go shooting with me, a number of them have taken me up on the offer.
They usually end the day with different perspective and in a number of cases I have gone with them to the gun shop later to help advise them with their first purchase.

Traded my G19 for a G21. Very happy with the trade! Took it out yesterday and ran a box of fmj's and a mag of hollowpoints through it. Awesome!

G26 ran flawlessly as well. Very happy with it too.

The SRT on my P226 is already ridiculously good. The Legion P229 I shot a few weeks ago was even better.
