Nice. I've been considering the P30L myself.

    Nice gun. Very purdy.

I have an Uncle Mike's reflex for my G19 that I love, but I don't know if they make one that'll fit an H&K. And my dad has just a basic leather Galco for his H&K, but I'm not sure of the model (I know, I'm a huge help, lol)

Just bought my first Glock yesterday and I'm pretty excited about it. Say hello to my new G19.

Ammoman.com has 1000 rounds for 9mm by TulAmmo for only $189 and free shipping. Has anyone had any issues with Tula? I have shot a little of it, but I just want to be sure its decent before I commit to 1000 rounds.

I haven't personally had bad experience with tulammo but I've heard to stay away. I've shot it before in 7.62 but I will be steering clear in the future.

Thats what I have heard too. I have shot it in .40 and .556 but only in small quantities. But $189 and free shipping for 1000 is pretty good!

I shoot it in my AK, but they're both Russian so they get along great.

Tula is fine for what it is. You will be firing it through a glock, so, its not like its going to ruin a $5,000 pistol.

I bought that same deal and I am well through 500 rounds fired out of my Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm. Everything is fine. I clean it after every range trip, so, even if the ammo is dirty, it doesn't matter. Buy that ammo, and use it for paper. Get yourself a couple boxes of Hornaday Critical Defense and load your EDC mags with that.

The two dangers with Russian ammo are the corrosive primers and bi-metallic bullets. If you have the first, clean your gun after you shoot. If you have the second, eventually you'll have to buy a new barrel. With an AR, that's at about 5 or 6 thousand rounds (luckygunner.com has a write up). I have no idea where that number is for a pistol.

Also, check out the PMC brand if you are worried any about how dirty your ammo is. PMC seems to shoot very clean compared to Wolf or Tula and is at times very competitively priced, if not lower.

If you have a quality barrel to begin with, this shouldn't be an issue. I'm not sure what you are referring to as far as "bi-metallic". Can you elaborate?

Edit: Also, barrels really aren't that expensive to replace anyhow, if it actually came to that. As a matter of fact, that is typically one of the first things I replace on a pistol or AR anyhow, right before the trigger.

Thanks for all of the info. I went ahead and purchased it because it was so cheap but I will buy another thousand rounds of higher-quality. And I of course know not to trust cheap ammo for defensive rounds. I use Hornaday Critical in my .40 beretta.

The only time I've seen russian ammo with corrosive primers are the milsurp rounds I've run thru my '47 and 91/30. I've never seen newly produced russian ammo with corrosive primers.
bimetal refers to the jacket. Cheap russian stuff has a lead core with a steel jacket with a copper coating on it.
