22/45 seems to have more fan base from what I see

Do you think that's just because 1911 master race though?

I don't need a 1911 trainer. The 22/45 Lite looks cool as shit, especially this years green one, but the MK3 is the classic.

I just saw some stuff on the 25/45 and it was puttin up some great numbers. 100gr pill put out near the same energy as muzzle 5.56, and left the 300 blkout in the dust too. Looked really awesome but i shoot a .243 and put up better numbers everywhere just not semi auto. Gotta make my shots count.

I see now that i was misreading what u were sayin so forget that i quoted u but feel free to add comments hahaha sorry guys

classic isn't always key, unless you are stuck on nostalgic reasoning, I would venture out that it's just more of a solid platform. When I say "guys" I am referring to shooters, manly NFA shooters. I think there is a reason they tend to gravitate towards this gun.

Well, the MK3 and 22/45 have the same guts. MK3 has a steel frame with a luger grip angle whereas the 22/45 is poly with 1911 grip angle.

I don't think there's a MK3 with a threaded barrel, so guys with cans won't look at it. I don't have a can so a threaded barrel does nothing for me really.

I've read people saying they don't like the 22/45 because the grip is too thin. Not sure if they are MK2 shooters who just are used to a thicker grip though.

OK. I've got several of each plus lots of MKIIs. First off, the 22/45 is a version of the MKIII. If you want a 22/45, my advice would be to find one in a MKII. The grip is wider and just feels a lot better than the MKIII 22/45. In fact, I prefer the standard MKII to the standard MKIII as well. I don't need the loaded chamber indicator.

There are lots of choices as far as barrel contour, sights, grip, etc. The MKII/III 5.5inch target model is probably the most versatile, but I do like the standard models with the 6 inch barrel. The standard 4.75 never balanced right in my hands and were quickly sold.

I heard a lot of complants about that sharp edge where the web of ur hand would be and 357s were pretty killer. Maybe some aftermarket handles will come out to help soon

They are certainly not going after the traditional wheelgun crowd, but maybe that's where they can find a market share. I love revolvers but I don't think I'd even pick that up to see what it felt like.
