It really depends. Depends who made it, condition, numbers matching, eat. A ball park range would be 500-700 depending on the above. Plus you'd need time to sell it as you'd need a collector who wanted it. People who just want a sks to shoot will go for cheaper yugo's.

Around here they are ridiculous on transfer fees, cheapest that I'm aware of is $35 at the local pawnshop.
It turned a $115 gun into a $150 gun when I bought my little Marlin 22, then I went and spent almost as much on a scope, damn hobbies get expensive.
Not to mention the 1K rounds of 22 Lr I had to order so I could shoot some, and I'll be shooting even more when I get a suppressor.

I have a guy who does it for $15 too. I've used him a few times. I found him after an LGS next door to where I work and where I have spent thousands of dollars over the last 15 years wanted to charge me $60.

Its pretty much standard 25 bucks around me. Which for all the work involved is actually a price Im ok with. I mean the guy has to get the firearm, log it in, contact you, then spend time doing 4473 and any other paperwork needed (state/tax paperwork), then log it out of their books. I know its usually about 30 minutes when i meet my FFL and do paperwork so figure an hour normally. He isnt making that much off a transfer for 25 bucks for an hour of work

The shop I worked at always let the customer open the package when it comes to transfers. So that they know nothing was removed and it is in the condition it came in

my guy usually charge $25 but its only $15 for me because I have transferred so many through him. All that to say, make relationships with your FFL and they are mutually beneficial

Thats about what I was thinking but I only found one on gunbroker so I couldnt get a comparative price.

I believe the one I have is a Tula manufactured but I have to dig it out of the safe to find out., numbers matching few if any scratches on it and in excellent condition IMO. I bought it used in the late 90's or early 2000. for around $150 IIRC... so If I get anything over $500 Im good with that. I'd like to trade for a Mossberg MVP 308...Thats my next gun purchase or trade.:)

Took my STI in to some friends who build race guns. It had been dropping brass in the action every 50 rounds of so. Turns out the extractor was way way loose. They tweaked it and it seems to hold the brass much better now. I'll put a couple hundred more rounds through it this weekend - really hoping to get it reliable enough to carry.

If you don't buy the firearm from them I wouldn't expect a cheap transfer fee. Just what I have experienced. Ymmv

I expect a reasonable transfer fee. Especially when they are transferring something for a customer that they cannot get. For example someone ordering a high end custom. The shop really can't get what the customer will want in to sell

    True.

I went elsewhere when I found one near me. Lowest I can find is 25. The shop wanted 45 without a purchase.

There are shops around here that specialize in FFL. There'll be maybe two dozen guns in stock, and then they'll be like "$25 FFL fee, go nuts ordering."

I've done it 3 times coming from different dealers and all were very easy. If the places you choose have already dealt with each other before they will already have a copy of their FFL too. The place I use is $20

Shot my HK USP Compact 40 for the first time this weekend. Compared to my Glock 23..... dam I love the HK more   But for home defense, I'd use either one :) I shot with 180 grains and 165 grains. Now I gotta look for 2 quality 9mm to buy down the road. My list: Springfield XD 9, HK USP Compact 9, Glock 19, S&W Shield 9, HK P2000 SK LEM 9. Anyone have any thoughts of these?
