My wife has a Beretta M9, sp101, and a MKII, plus she shoots several of my 1911s. She really likes my Walther PP, but she's not getting that. A friend is loaning his G43 for us to shoot next week, so I'll see how she does with it.

I wouldn't go that far, I've taught plenty of people to shoot on my G19 and G17. The lighter poly guns reinforce not limp wristing and dont create the crutch a full metal gun would. if you were teaching someone on a 45 maybe a different story but 9mm as it is should be easy enough for 95% of the people you're going to teach to shoot. If my mom can learn on my G19 anyone can haha

I learned on my dad's 1911 and love it. First gun I wanted was a 1911 but my wife really liked the glock17 so we got that.

Also a Nother rule of marriage, every gun of hers is a gun or yours!

So every time she wants to buy a gun, it's a green light

True. She's just not a gun person. Just wanted something that she felt comfortable handling for home protection.

Definitely a 638. The 642 has a completely internal hammer. The 638 has an external hammer with the humpback shroud. The 637 has a standard external hammer. I carry a 637 often, but soon after I purchased it I bought a new hammer, bobbed & installed it for picket carry. So my 637 has been 642ified.

Got these in today, really liking the cloak tuck 3.0, carrying small of back with my full size M&P and I forgot it was there after an hour of wearing it around the house.
I'm gonna try to talk my sister into letting me carry her XDs in the cloak tuck 3.0 that I bought for her to see how well I can conceal a small frame handgun.

I like the OWB aliengear also, I can conceal it with a loose button up and be extremely comfortable with it, it's much smaller than either my level 1 ALS or level 3 ALS/SLS holsters.

Don't think you can go wrong with the SR9c. Have heard nothing but good reviews on it and would be a solid CCW piece. If you're open to a single stack 9mm that is very concealable, check out the Walther PPS M2.

I've used quite a few and found Montana X-Treme to be about the best I used. Now I coat my barrels with DBC so I don't have copper problems, although I only have a couple that were bad to foul. Most are cut rifled and hand lapped and don't tend to copper foul at all. I still use DBC on them for added protection.
