Looks like a bipod, a lot more torque than a sling. I have done this before. Go back a little, drill a hold for the stud. It needs to be goldilock sized so it wont crack the polymer or wiggle loose. Also needs to be drilled straight or the bipod will be canted. Once that is done sand down the old mount, fill and rattle can.

Got something better I think, I found a sling stud with a backing plate I can epoxy into the stock.

Bipod, I love the gun, it's a little tack driver with CCI standard velocity ammo, once I get the sling stud fixed and my suppressor comes in I'll be happy with the gun.

Damn good day out at the range today, got my .308 pretty much sighted in and got the savage 17 HMR pretty close as well.
Shot some reloads through the 357 and found some old 3" duck loads that I wanted to see if they would cycle the stoeger even though they were in bad shape (lots of corrosion on the brass).

I'm going to assume that you're Stoeger had no problem with the 3 inch duck shots, have you tried a 2 3/4 of birdshot yet? I had a Stoeger 3500 I was hoping I could get to it to run bird shot, but because it isn't a inertia gun, I just wouldn't get it to cycle right on birdshot, in their defense, it does say in the booklet that it doesn't recommend that low of a dram.

Yeah it ran fine, I was more worried about misfires/hang fires because that's what usually happens with our old duck loads.
I've run probably 300 rounds of 7.5 shot, low brass (federal and Winchester bulk) without issues, I don't have the recoil reducer (Mercury weight thing or) in the stock though.
    This is a M3500 also.

I got my low brass to work sometimes but not consistently, so I never bothered to try the reducer either , I ended up selling it and going with the gas system

Spent about 4 hours on this thing last night & today. A drop-in super blackhawk hammer...wasn't. Ended up removing the indexing pawl and shaving the hand so it free-spins. And got the hammer to work, of course. Thinking I need a set of black checkered gunfighter grips.

Last group of the day with the .308, it started raining and I didn't feel like trying to finish sighting it in.
Ignore the rounds in the lower left and center left, it was from a previous shoot.
They look like 2 rounds in a hole but that's just from the target being wet, it's a 3 round group at 100 yards.
    image.jpg

And while it was starting to poor I wanted to put 1 round on steel (4" circle) at 100 yards, so I shot this poor little guy and threw him off of his posts.

Rainy day here so I decided to paint my SBR, the lower was already painted from when I had my 16" 6.8 upper on it, and with a monotone upper on a camo lower it just didn't look right, so I pulled the optic and light off of it last night and painted it today.

Any know of any online sites that have good labor day sales? In the process of building an AR upper, need everything but a bcg and charging handle

I'm going to buy two more 15-22 25rd magazines. I have four right now but I always go through them real fast.
