is $540 for a brand new Glock 27 a good deal? Local Turners has them in stock and I've always wanted one.

That's about the going rate (maybe a little bit more) now for non-LE Glocks. If it has night sights it's a good deal but I'm guessing fixed for that price.

Ya I was talking strictly PA game, so elk would be the largest, cept maybe bigfoot.

Whenever I was looking at rifles I think I was just too hung up on accuracy. 2-3moa for a deer is plenty enough, and a lighter/more compact rifle like the 336 would probably be even better than some 24"bbl bolt action 30-06.

Pretty much the same thing. FN bought the shotgun designs from Winchester.
Does it do the "speed pump"?

Shrug. Accuracy is important, but practice is more important. My model 700 can shoot MOA or better at the bench, but if I don't practice with it there's no way in hell that I can shoot MOA, especially in the woods.

Anyone have a Mossberg 535? Mine's dropping shells out the bottom, any ideas on how to stop this? Seems when the tube is full and I shoot, the recoil causes a live shell to fall out of the bottom. I went through 15 shells and it happened 3 times.

Yeah, all I meant was the kill zone on a deer is a whole hell of a lot bigger than the X ring on a target, so while a flat shooting 270 would make things easier, compensating for a small drop inside 200 yards (especially if the Hornady ballistics are right) is no problem for a 2 moa gun.

    'Xactly.
I was agreeing with you, but in a wholly unusual way.

    I don't, but it's apparently a pretty common problem.
I googled it, and all I had to type was "Mossberg 535" and it autofilled "Dropping shells" for me. Unfortunately, I can't check any of the sites for a solution for you, since the Looky-Loo's in IT at work have all the fun sites blocked (except this one, of course).

I found a pretty good youtube video for a fix. I'll write to Mossberg customer service before I try my fix (apparently Mossberg tells you to try this fix and if it doesn't work, they send you a new part). I guess I didn't realize how common of an issue it was.
