I have used or tried pretty much all of the amps out there, and to me the...... StrelokPro ........app is by far the best one out there (imo). We shoot 1500+ and I'd trust my life on it.

I run StrelokPro works really well, also has a calc to reverse the ballistic formula if you need to correct velocity.

The WWF 87A has been in my family since it was new.
Purchased new by my Grandfather after the 2nd war (1948)
My Father grew up using it during his childhood - young adult life.

And then it was handed down to me in 1969 from my Father.
I probably shot more squirrels then I can remember or count.
Lots of childhood memories of hunting/growing up in Minnesota.
And this particular rifle was always my best friend.

I have a model '94 for deer hunting... but that's another story.

btw... I grew up in a generation that was thrifty and reserved...
so if fired a single round... I'd better have something for the table.

Amazingly... grew up utilizing the Tenite stock...
    and surprisingly never broke that.
A few scars and knicks by me... but solid otherwise.
My Father would've kicked my arse if I had broke it.

Is my favorite rifle in my collection...
and I have more then a few oldies but goodies that are more powerful.
But my 87A is one of the most accurate shooters I've ever owned.
And I would consider it my pride and joy.

'course the Colt .32 ACP is my favorite hand gun.
Easy to shoot fast and furious.
Not the wallup of my larger caliper hand guns.
But 8 rounds coming towards anyone should net some respect.

I broke the firing pin on my 87A once (2 yrs back)
Numrich is where I got a replacement.
Was easy to replace the firing pin.
It's now back in the hunt and operates well.
It's likely the last firing pin I'll ever need purchase in my remaing years.

I installed an Tasco Pronghorn 1" scope (Japan) using a Weaver side mount
as well the Walnut stock recently.
Capable of both scope and iron sight useage without requiring scope removal.
The scope makes this rifle even more accurate.

    No "gimmies" ...sorry
'cuz I wouldn't give it up for all the money in the world.

Tho' you could probably purchase an early 87A for around $ 200.
But you'll likely need look at the online gun auctions to find one.

But this old relic is gonna get passed down to my son...
along with all the other firearms in my collection.

Possibly the boy will give it away when guns become illegal here in SoCal !?
But it's more likely he'll move to another state... if push comes to shove.

16 rounds/tube mag, semi auto (LR only) (clickity clack it goes)
Even the California democommies can't limit this rifle to a 10 rnd mag.

Since I refuse to accept California ammunitions laws and governing...
guess what rounds I have remaining is gonna be it.
'Cause I refuse to pay their ammo licensing extortion...
Along with their denial of my constitutional rights.

I'd move outta this state in a heartbeat if I could...
but doubt I can afford to get outta here before my time is up :(

6 years of serving in the Military honorably...
So these idiots can disregard and deny my constitutional rights !?

Wished I'd have known that before I risked my life for them.

Awesome story! Wish I knew the whole story of this rifle he gave me, but his memory is slipping anyway. I'll call Numrich about the bolt handle tomorrow, if they're out I'll call Savage.
I'm a big fan of the wood stock it has, just not sure what species. I've always liked wood stocks on most guns, I tend to take better care of those.

Actually, I'm not. But I was looking through his photo gallery and had to chuckle at his back halfed ground hog because I did the same thing this past summer at 476 yards, his groundhog look identical to mine.

Thanks guys for the recommendations for ballistics.

Have any of you guys heard of/know of the SDI (Sonoran Desert Institute) Associates in firearm technology?
It's an Accredited university that's all about guns.

This is my new Zorn holster, I've carried it for a couple days now and it is great, super comfortable and the "skinny wing" makes it invisible. The grip doesn't poke out at all.
