8 oz trigger are u freakin rediculous. My deer rifle says it came set at 2lbs i assume it to be closer to 2.5-3lbs in reality, i couldnt image one being half that weight much less a quarter or less

Still kickin! Barely, I gotta have surgery on my neck here pretty soon, 2 discs are basically nonexistent, so yeah....good times! You'll probably see me more in here when I'm healing from that little ordeal. What about you?

Actually, not to sound like a Cliff Claybin, but it's the other way around, you exhale during the trigger pull, to fully explain the trigger, it is a hybrid two-stage trigger the first day age goes to 1.3 ounces and then the second stage is introduced and brakes at 1.11 ounces. So although the trigger itself is only 8 ounces there is technically a built in safety and pre-trigger involved

That sounds like a pain in the neck, LOL, just kidding. I myself got my left hand caught up in a 2 foot circular saw blade at work. I did keep all my fingers as of now but definitely have some recovery time ahead of me.

The funny thing is according to Ruger's website the triggers on the RPRs are supposed to be between 3 1/2 and 5 pounds adjustable, but when I went to pick mine up and tried the trigger, and having prior good trigger weight knowledge, new immediately something was up and that the trigger was way below 3 pounds so when they asked me if I was going to take it obviously the answer was hell yeah! I'm guessing the trigger building guy at Ruger was in a real good mood on a Friday afternoon when he built mine .

7.62 what? I assume u mean x51, in that case i would think it to be somewhat comparable to a .308 since they are the same deminsions. Likewise the 7.62x54r should be in the same ball park. But if u mean x39 u will be severely out classed by the formers and other aforementioneds.

Why would anyone compare a .308 to a 6.5? They have completely different ballistic coefficients and one is lighter grain and one heavier. They were designed for different jobs.

Yes, but a drill press with good bits and a rotary vise with good mill bits helps tremendously.

Wuss, LOL! They're only $50 for a polymer. Give it a try man. Worst that can happen is you're out a little dough. Practice on plastic, perfect on billet.

I use heat shrink on my drill bits, then coat them liberally with petroleum jelly as to not disturb the jig. The heat shrink will be the weak link and save the plastic jig. Drill straight and true and you should have success.
