the shields have both. I guess you could leave it off, but its another step that could go wrong under a stressful situation. also the reset was a full reset if i remember correctly. and there wasn't much of a aftermarket support for it.

Adjusted the angle of my crossbreed with my shaved mag plate and it's so much better. Sucks into the body without being noticed.

Usually what I do is pull the slide off spray the internals with carb cleaner toss it in the DW let it run 30 minutes go out in the garage blow it out with the compressor. Oil internals in select spots and use Amsoil 20/50...But again I only clean my Glocks about every 3000 rounds if that...

Noooooo! Never use WD-40 on any firearm, airregardless of what any person might want to tell you. It's not a lubricant, it is an emulsifier

Rem-oil is always a safe call. Here is a photo of some good examples. No this is not the Bible of what you should always use, but good starter examples. The first three are cleaners and the rest are various forms of lubrication

I was just kidding. I've got Rem Oil and Hoppe's 9 cleaner.

What about jags and brushes? Any special there?

I just wanted to make sure that I squash that notion for anybody reading it, or people just starting out. :rimshot: As far as the jags and brushes, I don't really see one brand being better over another but I myself prefer using nylon brushes over brass brushes.
