I'm not some weirdo trying to sneak around the ATF and run guns via backpage or armslist

I did 10 years as a cop, and never once was willing to put my job in jeopardy to sell a gun

I don't fuck around with that stuff

Whats funny is thats how it used to be in WA state. Seemed like the forum I frequent would have 5-15 new guns posted a day for sale. Almost all the sales were bill of sale and good guy card required (good guy card being either LEO or MIL credentials or a CPL). Now a days since all sales have to go through a dealer....its more like 5 a week get posted and often dont sell for awhile. A $25 fee on top of the gun price often makes it so it makes more sense to buy new.

These were submitted 6/9 to 6/12. Basically soon as the revised SBR law went into effect in WA. My other ones took less time (3 months or so)

What??? Most gun owners are buyers AND sellers. Absolutely nothing wrong with selling a gun. As long as the sale is legal, and there is no reason to suspect it's not, then it's no more the sellers fault than a FFL's fault if a gun ends up on the street used in a way it shouldn't. What risk? If it is a legal transaction and you have no reason to believe it's not, or any reason to believe it is for an illegal purpose, the risk is not the sellers.

Maybe you live in a state that doesn't trust it's citizens and doesn't allow the legal transfer of firearms between two people who can legally own them, but it doesn't mean it's wrong where it is legal. Why would anyone first assume that a guy selling his own guns is doing it illegal? What in any of his post would make someone even think that in the first place?

I've known a lot of gun owners in my time and have known many of them to sell their guns from time to time, as most gun owners do. Not once have I ever thought they were doing anything illegal. Never even crossed my mind to think that. Seems an anti-gun way of thinking for that to even be on ones mind when hearing of a gun sale.

Have no idea what backpage is, but there is nothing illegal about buying or selling a gun on armslist. I've sold and bought many guns with armslist and I can guarantee they were all 100% legal.
