My biggest issue right now is trying to decide if I want a full size "duty" gun or carry gun, the 19 kinda bridges the gap.
If I made up my mind to go for CC only I would go with the XDs, but I really training with the full size handguns.

Interesting, I'll check it out but I'm content with my TLR-1

I havent used the Missouri Bullet Co ones but have heard good results from others. I have used a sample pack of Palmeto Projectiles 300blk bullet (203gr). I was happy with them and will eventually pick up more. Decent accuracy and no leading noticed. But i only shot 25 rounds.

If its a rifle made in the last few years, i wont even consider it if its not a 1.5MOA or better gun. Just way to many options out there capable of that or better for pretty cheap these days.

But if its a caliber not known for accuracy (45-70 for example) or just an older gun or gun design (ie AK47, Galil, Trapdoor, ect) then Im not to concerned with accuracy as long as it isnt absolutely crap!

Not personally. Its a bit fast for sub 200gr bullets and i wanted a powder i could load for everything pretty much. I did use AA5744 and wasnt to impressed with it. I wasnt getting 100% burn on the powder. Accuracy was just fine though! I got AA1680 and havent looked back. Load all my 300blk with it. I do use AA9 though...just for other calibers (44mag, 10mm)

So do i (aa9) but i have been doing some research and heard 1680 is dirty and a few people were saying that they were running lower charges of AA9 for subs because it burns faster and is quieter then others. I have both and am a little timid about trying some AA9 in the 16" barrel. So i think ill just keep with the 1680 and 4227 for now :D

Does anybody have any experience with the Bushnell Elite 1-mile CONX combo with the kestrel?
Are the shooting solutions any good? Would it be good for shooting solutions over 1000 yards?

As soon as it warms up I'm grabbing a pound of CFEBLK from Hodgdon to try out. Specifically designed for the 300 BLK subsonic.

That seems low from what I've seen online. New prices are about triple that.

    AWESOME! Thanks!

I haven't noticed 1680 being dirty really. No dirtier than anything else I shoot suppressed at least.

When I looked aa9 was a lot more temperamental with charges. Like accuracy would often be the best in loads that didn't work well for the rifle (cycling and bolt hold our wise). That and it's like 2 grain difference in loads which doesn't save much powder or anything.

I'm also quite well stocked on 1680 and have been more than happy with it so don't plan to switch.

Other bloggers though....definitely looking. Cheaper subsonic are always better!

Well I found out yesterday, my P229 that i bought through centerfire systems is not a DAO trigger system but in fact a DAK trigger system. I used the parts needed to convert it from a DAO to a DA/SA. But apparently Im missing parts. which would explain the reset problems i was having at the range ... SO.... long story short I just converted it back to DAK, and ordered the rest of the parts needed for the DA/SA conversion and a SRT kit :D.

Now I need to order new sights for it, then it will be complete. Most likely going to get the new Sig x-ray sights. Through dawson precision FO sights look pretty decent... Any opinions?

are these a good option ? or are they too old?
