I'm gonna go against the grain and say that sticky is better than remora. Also have a case of 9mm getting delivered thursday :bananadance:

Honestly haven't tried a sticky, so I have no opinion. Remora has always taken care of me always has sales and opportunities to save, or get free gear. I've been using a remora for 4 years, it's the top holster my G26 rides in.

Don't judge me, I just put things side by side to see the profile of the final product, though I don't know if I'll stick with the CQR foregrip... Also may switch stock to a grey DD stock and when will Rainier arms have the barrel I want back in stock :annoyed:

I like the alien gear holster. I really like the free shell trades. I have used the free shell trade thing 2x's, no problems there. Also, the 2 holster deal is a good deal.

I'm usually a 3:15 kind of guy, but I've been trying out AIWB lately. I don't let my jeans ride up grandpa style though, so it bothers me when I sit in the truck.

gotta hike em up a bit to sit down, just so the gun is all on one flat plane instead of fighting both your thigh and you abdomen

When you guy say Remora, are you talking about the real ones or the little sticky holster? I have one of those and have liked it, but the range and classes I want to start only allow IWB that can be reholstered with one hand. That's why I'm looking at something like this [IMG]

The Remora RFT or Reinforced Top holsters can generally be re-holstered one handed in my experience. They are part of the Remora "sticky" holster set

I'm finally taking my Tikka out! I forgot to order ammo so I stopped by my local wally world on the way to the range. I've got 3 boxes of 180 gr Federal soft point 308. Their selection was terrible!

It'll work to get it broken in and next time I'll fine tune it with some match ammo.

i have a remora RFT for my p229..... i don't really care for it, but it will work if I'm in a pinch.

So I messed up. I bought the RMR from cabelas using one gift card and not all gift cards, also i did not use active junky for the 10% cash back discount. So in all i messed up on an additional $50 off.

Also I tried calling to cancel the order to reorder and the customer service person said because its in process, they could put in a request to the warehouse, but i would possibly not get my previous gift card for a couple weeks. So I'm stuck. I guess ill take what discount i got and be happy with it. BAH

Yeah that how i started, and then i found how easy aiwb is. At first it was hard to get used to, then it was like nothing with a vedder light tuck for my glock 43. These days I'm carrying a with a tier one xiphos or a gcode incog(which i kind of don't really care for). Depending on which size gun i feel like carrying either way its always aiwb.

Ride height adjustability and the quality of the kydex mold, or fitment is what helps me pick one out.

I just ordered a JM custom index aiwb 2.5 for my p229r. Zero can't, concealment wing, and pull the dot straps, what i like on a holster for a larger, heavier gun for AIWB. Also they have a discount for first responders.

Well not great shooting. Not sure if it's me or the rifle but here's 10 shots at 200 yards sitting at a bench with the rifle sitting on a backpack. Shooting Federal 180gr soft points.
    20170615_123835_zps6bnha59p_63e6203969c73e0dfab74ec86b9c9449b4f98ae9.jpg

My Tikka now has 40 rounds through it, got it zeroed at 50 yards with the first 5 shots. Then pushed it out to 200 and started bringing it in.

Maybe work on zeroing it at 100 before you push it out to 200?

Make sure the rings are tight on the scope, the base is tight on the rail, and (if applicable) the rail is tight in the rifle.

I remember watching videos of entry level/"bang for buck" hunting rifles that if there were accuracy issues it's because the rails weren't tight from the factory so the scope moved a little bit with every shot.

There wasn't any gap but I wonder if it would be worthwhile bedding the rail to the top of the rifle with some epoxy.

Everything is snug but the torque wrench I used is garbage
