Now that i've had a chance to pull the FNS9 out and compare the two, the 509 clearly began life as an FNS9...

Then the external safety was removed, the edges were smoothed and other small enhancements to make concealed carry more appealing, better serrations on the slide, at least for dry fire the trigger feels smoother, and man does it fit my hand

I'd like to point out this was my initial thoughts of the gun when I handled it on release day

I was able to get mine for well under $600, and after handling several and seeing the reviews coming in...I've at least temporarily changed my position. Subject to range use this weekend

Which one/s are you looking at?
I went with the Griffin Checkmate QD for the 3 lug system, also a big fan of Griffin as a veteran owned company.

Silencerco sparrow. Its coming in a package with a cz455. I like the 3 part system for ease of cleaning. I'll just toss in in my wet tumble when it needs cleaned.

youtube commenters are brilliant, someone stated that handguns were not designed to kill people they were designed for hunting, and he caught a lot of flack for that, but I did point out that they are designed to stop immediate threats not necessarily kill people, although sometimes the former comes as a result of the latter. I then had my sanity questioned so I posted reported gun shot victims from 2010 that showed there were ~31000 gun deaths (not just handguns) ~19000 of which were suicide, and ~73500 non-fatal gun wounds. I tried explaining that if you exclude suicides, that means that guns (again all guns not just handguns) kill people about 14% of the time they are used. to which the greatest rebuttal was "modern medicine has come a long way in the last 100 years" :bananadead: I also tried explaining how ballistically anemic hand gun rounds are when compared to long gun which went over similarly with results like "just because they don't kill people very often doesn't mean that isn't what they were meant for" I asked if something charged a phone only 14% of the time could one assume that it may not be designed for charging phones? which was either unanswerable or didn't hold enough water to merit a response.

    hard math is hard

It's a bit hard to try and figure out what your point is not seeing the entire context of the conversation - so my comment may or may not be completely inline and relevant to your point - it's well known that more handguns equates to more violent crimes - More handguns (i.e. concealable) leads to higher rates of violent gun crime. The short version is that almost all the research says that while most western countries have similar rates of assaults, etc . . . the immediate availability of handguns in America turns many of these more "simple" assaults into deadly crimes.

The video had a section they talked about where 2 police officers fired there handguns in self defense at a dog, a stray bullet hit and killed a 17 year old. The "news anchor" said cops shouldnt have guns (this was slightly satirical) he then went on to state how cops dont like tasers because they are hard to aim, and said that maybe they should make better tasers. I understand the appeal of a handgun; they are much lighter and easier to carry and conceal than a rifle or shotgun, but again their original purpose was not crime either so my statement that they originally intended to stop a threat was the main catalyst for the obscene intelligence belittling and also a false acquisition of public masturbation haha

Took the 30 Nosler out over the weekend! Loaded with some 190gn ABLR's. She seems to shoot fairly well. 4 shot group on a rock at 780yds. Pretty happy with the results. The top shot was the 1st "sighter" round. And the string of 3 were the after adjustment shots!

That's just a picture of the Rifle that I had taken.
The rock with the 4 shots on it was at 780 yards. I that range was only 100yds.

Gotcha. That makes a lot more sense, lol. I was like "man, his range finder is WAY the hell off..."

Haha yeah no. The Leica rangefinder is spot on haha. Easiest way to shoot some distance is spray paint on some rocks. Sucks to set up the steel gong and have your windage off a little and bust the chain. Ruins the shooting day ha.

Going out shooting tomorrow so I'll try to get a better picture haha
