I bought an aero precision lower. They're on sale for $50 shipped and I just couldn't pass it up

I love most of Aero's stuff. I run their AMBI Lowers on all my AR SBRs.

I'll probably end up pairing it with an aero upper once I catch them on a sale.

Got a shipping update that my Sub2000 has shipped and should be at my local gun shop on Thursday! :woot:
I was expecting it to take longer, honestly. Right after I placed my order Palmetto State changed the status on the website to "currently out of stock" so I was afraid I was going to have to wait for them to get a new shipment.

You know, I hear that they've got a long shipping time and are worth the wait.

I use the vedder edc belt and to be honest the nylon is quite uncomfortable. Also a stiff belt cuts into your love handles LOL. In the future, I'm going to invest in a velcro, double layered leather belt.

I have the same issues with belts.
Got a line on just a velcro leather belt?
My 2 snap-on velcro belts now longer lock together very well.

Hey guys. I have a fairly new AR-15 with probably around 1000rds through it. I went shooting last weekend and noticed my takedown pin had started to slide out. I quickly stopped what I was doing and took it home to take apart. I found that the spring that holds the detent in place had walked off. (Maybe in my last cleaning :notsure:) Anyway I began shopping online and found the Battle Arms Development selling an "enhanced pin set" My question is what the heck is the advantage to an "enhanced pin set" Should I just replace the missing spring for $2 or replace the whole set including the pin for $20?

    It's extra pin-y.

Seriously, I don't know what the difference would be. A machined pin and a spring are a machined pin and a spring, for something like that, I would think. It's not like a barrel or a scope. Maybe it's just something for the guys with a super high-end AR build to use to pad the bottom line for what it cost to build their gun. Functionally, I'm sure replacing the spring would work just fine.

    :notsure:

Thanks for the input. I went ahead and ordered just the takedown pin set which includes the spring, detent, and pin. I didn't get the full set with the pivot pin as there is nothing wrong with my current pivot pin. I also opted out for the Titanium option. I'm not trying to make my firearm an accessory if you know what I mean. I'll let you guys know what I think of it once i put it on.

I like the fact its supposed to have a divit on the opposite side so if you use a bullet or something it wont slip off and scratch your lower!

Usually "enhanced" ones have a different shape at the end and/or are slightly longer for easier pushing. I use SI Enhanced pins, for the price, they are well worth it but its optional.
