So i had some scrap kydex laying around and tried a claw "prototype". does anyone here see anything inherently wrong with this design or maybe something to tweak? Im wearing it now and it does ride tighter and even seems to move less as i move (but i am at home so that may not be true once i go to work, could be placebo)

 

Looks like the kydex could be better formed to the pistol. Not sure what a 'claw' is referring to but if it's to tighten the holster down by apply pressure to the belt line, I would see that happening.

 

Yeah i just wanted to redo where the clip bump was because i was afraid that the cylinder might rub if i didnt put it in perfect so i reheated the whole thing and tried to remold it and left the retention screw in it so it would still line up and it didnt work exactly like i thought. I got super mad after like a half dozen tries and finally put another screw in and it help but still wasnt quite right.

This was it until about 5 today. It still clicks in good and retention is great, but it did lose a bit of definition

 

Most recent outing. Bottom left was my final round (~7-10yds out); since I started last year that's been my best cluster so far.

Trying out a buddy's semi-auto AK. Also tried a Colt M4 that day.

P226 Mk25 with Hogue G10 piranha grips and a short reset trigger kit installed.

I've shot one or two boxes of their 9mm with no issues, but def not one of my go to brands.

 

Try waiting for 2 years for a suppressor because the ATF "lost" paperwork but cashed a check. It's good times.
