Has anybody had to get their FFL's info before?
I tried getting the pawn shops FFL info but they said to contact the people i'm buying the gun from and give them that info and they'll give me their info.

So each one wants the other's info but neither will give you their info? Since you are paying a fee to the pawn shop, I would give them the phone number of seller and tell them to do the rest.

No (i'm just asking for other peoples experiences, i don't think this will turn into a issue)

I've contacted the seller by phone, but his receptionist said no one was in the gun shop at the time (the seller is a lawyer who has a gun shop) and the boss wasn't their either.
So i emailed the seller and told them what FFL i wanted the firearm shipped to, gave them their website and email address.

I figure that he will contact me if he needs more info or if i need to do something.

I did call the pawn shop (receiving FFL) and ask them if it was OK for me to have the firearm there, and they said yeah, just have the seller send their FFL info over.

I figured it was either for that reason or so a non-FFL didn't send them a firearm.

That's what happens here also. A local firearm forum I'm a member of frequently does group buys. The guy running the group buy is a dealer so he tells everyone to have their receiving FFL's contact him so he can send things out.

If your FFL gave you their number, whats stopping you from using it as "your" number and just having the firearm just sent right to you, without paperwork?

Probably the same thing that stops you from grabbing someone else's credit card and using it as your own.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
if they havn't been dealt with before, they usually require a full copy of the FFL. the FFL has their address on it.

if they have been dealt with before, they already know which address to send it to.

    A little update

Got a email back from Mark from R and A tactical in Missouri and he is really easy to work with.

After i emailed him about the pawn shop he emailed me and said he would get it all taken care of, not to worry, and that the pawn shop was handling it in a unusual manner.

Right now, it'd go into parts to complete a build of mine. If it weren't for that, I'd get a one of a few things. I'd either get an old lever action rifle, a 1911 or, and I know how this sounds, but I want a Hi-Point to screw around with.
