I am thankful this forum never crosses in such territory. This is AMAZING. (Caution, set aside 20 minutes and anything hot or sharp, this is a hilariously risky read): https://lonelymachines.org/mall-ninjas/

Ever any problems or reasons Is shouldn't buy it? It would just be a range gun. Nothing for personal defense or anything.

You are right in on the fence and it wouldn't take that much for you to drop on over to the Mall Ninja side. You might take stock of your tactical equipment and consider if you are becoming obsessed with it. Also, look at limiting your time on those gun forums and watching those special ops documentaries.

No worries. Just because you might own a couple of knives and a gun, you are not a Mall Ninja. Yes, maybe you might talk out of your butt sometimes to your friends about things you don't know about but you do know that you're doing it.

I've shot them before but never owned one. Accurate and reliable enough for plinking or range days, but I wouldn't want to rely on it for self defense. Mag cap is too low and the mags didn't drop free for a fast reload. But, fun for range days.

You get what you pay for...sometimes they are known to blow up, but that not common. They shoot, arent pretty, heavy but they shoot...

I understand it’s a cheap gun and it’s be only a range gun.

yep, like I said they shoot. A friend had one and said it never had any issues like fail to feed or fail to fire. which is a good thing even for a range gun.

Same could be said for Kel-Tecs. I wouldn't trust my life to one, yet people are willing to shell out close to a grand for a shotgun that has a historically high failure rate.

FWIW, I've got close to 2000 rounds (ish) through the KelTec Sub2K that I picked up this fall without any failures of any kind. But I have heard that the KSG is a jam-o-matic.

They must have started using better steel for their barrels. The first Gen Sub2K's were reportedly only good for less than 1000 rounds. Mine started key-holing after about 500.

    :notsure:

Mine's still punching cloverleafs, so I'd say that they must have. No FTE's or FTF's either.

My sub2k has never been accurate. Need to send it in because i think its the barrel crown causing issues. Just haven't gotten around to it because i dont want to send it to them, have them deny the warranty and have to pay shipping back.
